    Default Linguine with Clam Sauce

    Hello all,

    I made this for dinner tonight, and it was fantastic! Though I am wondering about the points......the pasta would be 4 points per serving, and everything else is low in points, so I am not sure where the rest of the 5 points are coming from. I ran it through WW Online's Recipe Builder to check, and this is what it came up with? Any thoughts?

    Regardless, it is DEE-LISH!

    Linguine with Clam Sauce
    POINTS: 9


    1 tsp butter
    1/2 medium onion(s), chopped
    3 garlic clove(s), minced
    6 1/2 oz canned clams
    1 oz white wine (I used chicken broth)
    3 Tbsp reduced-fat sour cream
    3 Tbsp parsley, chopped
    4 oz uncooked pasta

    Melt butter in heavy medium nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add onion and garlic and sauté until translucent, about 8 minutes. Mix in clams and stir 1 minute. Add wine and bring to boil. Stir in reserved juices from clams, sour cream and parsley and simmer 2 minutes to mellow flavors. Season to taste with salt and pepper.

    Meanwhile, cook linguine in large pot of rapidly boiling salted water until tender but still firm to bite. Drain. Add pasta to clam mixture in skillet. Bring to simmer, stirring constantly. Transfer to bowls and serve immediately.

    This sounds like a delicious Clam Sauce recipe which I printed up and will try in two weeks. If you figure everything up it looks like the entire recipe has about 14 points in it. (I don't have a can of clams to check the information on that.) But you could save another point per serving if you can get the Barilla Plus Linguine, 2 oz. = 3 points. I would also be interested in seeing where the other points come into play. Thanks for another recipe!
