Thread: Crab Strata

    12 servings
    4 Points per serving

    4 c cubed firm bread
    2 cans (6 oz each) crabmeat, drained, cartilage removed and flaked
    1 c shredded swiss cheese
    1 c shredded cheddar cheese
    3 medium green onions, chopped
    6 eggs, beaten
    1 1/3 c milk
    1/4 c apple juice
    1 TBSP dijon mustard
    1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce

    Grease 2 quart casserole with Pam. In casserole, mix bread crumbs, crabmeat, cheeses and onions. In medium bowl, mix remaining ingredients; pour over bread mixture. Cover tightly and refrigerate at least 2 hours but no more than 24.

    Heat oven to 350. Bake uncovered about 45 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Let stand 10 minutes before serving. Top with addition green onions and chopped red bell pepper if desired.

    This really does sound YUMMY! I am always looking for new and different breakfasts for the weekend. This fits the bill perfectly, and seems like it would be easy enough to half the recipe. Thanks for posting!
