Default Heavenly Heath Bar Cake ~ 3 Points

    Hi all,

I made this one a long time ago, when I was on WW awhile back. I loved it, and am going to make it for a cookout I am going to on Sunday. I think that there are similar recipes floating around the boards.

    Heavenly Heath Bar Cake
    Servings: 24
    POINTS: 3

1 box Devil's Food Cake Mix
    10 oz. Diet Cola
    1 egg white
6 oz Fat-Free Caramel ice cream topping
    7 oz Reduced-Fat or Fat-Free condensed milk
1 cup Heath Bar bits (found by the chocolate chips)
    1 container Fat-Free Cool Whip

Mix cake mix, egg white and diet soda. Bake as directed in a 9 x 13 pan sprayed with nonstick cooking spray. During the last few minutes of baking, put caramel and condensed milk in a sauce pan and stir on medium-low heat until smooth. Take cake out of oven, and using a wooden spoon, poke holes all over the top. Pour caramel mixture over warm cake, filling in the holes. Sprinkle Heath bits over the top, reserving some for the top. Cool completely. Cover with container of Fat-Free Cool Whip and sprinkle with remaining Heath bits. Put in fridge until ready to serve.

    Enjoy!

Wow Christine, I have been making the high fat version of this and never thought to reduce it. It is one of my favorite cakes. I will have to try this. Thanks.

I made this tonight. It was very good and easy to make. It was definitely a hit.

Just a note- my batter was thick. I think it might be because I used a devils food mix with pudding in it. Also, the pkg directions said to cook for 31-35 minutes, but mine was done in 20.

I thought it wouldn't hold up to cutting and would be all gooey inside, but it really was perfect. The cake was good and had little pockets of caramel oozing from it. Awesome.
My 20 y/o ds said it was the best cake he ever had.

    O...M....G....

This sounds INSANE! The only way I will ever make it though is to take it somewhere or serve at a party. This would be soooo dangerous just hanging around the house. I am definately going to bookmark this though... ty ty ty ty Christine!!

OMG, THIS IS AMAZING!!! Christine, I'm not quite sure how to thank you for this recipe!! I made it for Christmas dinner dessert as an alternative to apple pie w/whipped cream (not a fav of mine), and my first bite was just about org*smic!! I used butterscotch ice cream topping as it was all I had, but WOW!!!

TBH, I used way more Skor bits and more topping and cut it into 12 instead of 24 (oh boy, will I be doing points penance for this, but so worth it!), but truly it's great. Made teh rest of my family regret the choice of pie! LOL!!

I've been wanting to make this for a few weeks now. I even bought all the ingredients. But I am so afraid of having that whole cake staring me in the face. I just found out that Saturday night we are visiting friends. Guess what I'm bringing....my mouth has been watering for this cake! I'll let you know how it goes over.

I brought this into school for a friend's birthday and a few ladies asked me for the recipe. I never once said that it was a WW point friendly recipe. I made copies for them (with the point values listed) and they could not believe their eyes! This truly is a terrific recipe. I just have to search for that RF condensed milk because I can't find it everywhere. Thanks again for a delicious recipe.

I was looking at this recipe again in my MasterCook, and I'm getting 4 point per piece! I don't know how I'm figuring this wrong:

When I put it through the Recipe Builder I got 4 points also, that's what I have been counting it as. I'm thinking it was the cake mix I used.

Thank you, MT, now I know I'm not crazy- about THIS, anyway..
I'll count it as 4, but it WILL diminish my pleasure, slightly.

    Thank you again!
