Granola
(10 servings @ 4 ww p) Homemade Granola. Divide this into 10 zip-lock bags after baking for single-serve breakfasts or snacks. A half size serving is a delicious topping for yogurt or fresh fruit.

Granola
(10 servings @ 4 ww p)

6 Tbsp. almonds
1/2 Cup sesame seeds
1 1/2 Tbsp. vanilla
1 1/2 t tsp. salt
1 Cup hot apple juice
3/4 Cup lite or sugar-free maple syrup
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 Cup whole wheat flour
3 1/2 Cups old-fashioned oatmeal, uncooked
3 1/2 Cups Bran Flakes or Total cereal
1 Cup pitted, chopped dates
2 Cups raisin

1. In a blender process nuts, sesame seeds, vanilla, salt, apple juice and syrup.

2. In a separate bowl, combine flour, spices, oatmeal and cereal. Pour blender mixture over dry mixture. Stir well to evenly coat.

3. Preheat oven to 325. Line two baking sheets with foil and spray with Pam. Spread mixture evenly and bake in oven for 15 minutes. Stir gently with a spatula. Bake for another 15 minutes. Stir again and switch sheets to opposite racks to allow for even baking and bake for another 15 minutes.

4. Turn off oven and allow granola to cool and dry in oven for 2-3 hours. Divide into zip-lock bags or an air-tight container.
