    Default My favorite Breakfast sandwiches

My favorite, stick-to-your-belly breakfasts are below:

    1. 2 slices weight watchers bread, 2 egg beaters, 1 slice fat free cheese, mustard (3)
    OR

    2. English muffin, 2 egg beaters, 1 slice fat free cheese, mustard (4.5)

You can add tomatoe or lettuce to this also for more filler.
    Yummy!

YUM! I've been looking for quick and easy breakfasts-on-the-run.

What kind of English Muffins do you use?

I see that WW now have english muffins. Has anyone tried them? Do they taste good? How many points per muffin?

I've tried the WW english muffins and they are pretty good and very points friendly. They are only 1 pt per muffin.

I've tried both the WW English muffins and the bagels...1 point for both...took a little getting used to the sawdust-y aftertaste, now I don't notice it at all! (Might just be that I wasn't expecting that!) I buy them at an Entenmann's outlet store nearby...good deals! Plus they freeze really well!

Village Hearth Breads makes a Light English Muffin - 1 point for the whole thing. My DH is picky about his english muffins. These are the only ones he will eat.

We have been toasting and putting LF peanut butter on them (3-5 points total). I like the idea of egg beaters and cheese - 4 points and more food - BONUS!!
It's not about the number on the scale - it's how great I feel about myself.

I use the Thomas light multi-grain english muffin. 100cal, 1 fat, 8 grams fiber.(1 point.) Very good!

This is my staple breakfast sandwich during the week.

2 slices Arnold Bakery Light 7 grain bread toasted 1 pt

    1 scrambled egg patty-Walmart 1 pt
1 Garden Burger breakfast patty 1 pt
I nuke the egg and the 'sausage' for 1.75 mins while I toast the bread. Great taste, very filling, and it only takes 2 mins to fix.

    This morning I had

1/4 eag beaters (1pt) scrambled using cooking spray (0) with 1 1/2 peices of canadian bacon chopped into cubes (1) then I shredded a cheddar baby bel (1)
and put it on natures own lite white bread (1)

    4pts and very filling

I have also used turkey bacon (1) ff american cheese (1) Laughing cow swiss
and also western style egg beaters
I love a scrabbled egg sandwich! Good for Lunch too!
If you dont like it scrabbled you can sray a little bowl with cooking spray and put egg beaters in the microwave for 20 second or so and makes perfect shape for a english muffin or a bagel.

I've also made these but used salsa instead of the mustard and I'ave added very small diced onions and peppers and mushrooms in there too.

I haven't been able to find any 1 pt. english muffins here so I use Oroweat Whole Wheat english muffins (2 pts), but here is my favorite breakfast sandwich -

    Toasted english muffin (1 - 2 pts)
2 egg whites, scrambled (.5 pt)
1 Morningstar Farms sausage patty (1 pt)
1 Tbsp. Mexican Four Cheese Blend shredded cheese (.5 pt)

    Total: 3 - 4 pts.

    YUM!

I'm sure a wedge of Laughing Cow Light (1 pt) or a slice of 2% American Cheese (1 pt) would also be good in place of the Mexican Four cheese.

I am used to the egg mcmuffins with whole eggs, cheese, etc, and the sandwich i made was just as good I couldn't believe it and filling, any info on pts would be appreciated, thanks

Well, a regular english muffin is 2-4 points depending on the brand. Do you have the nutritional info or know the brand?
2 egg whites is less than 1 point.
1 slice of my brand of 2% cheese is 1 point
1 slice of my turkey lunch meat is under 1 point.
So I would say 2 points for the stuff other than the english muffin plus however much the muffin is.

I have something similar. 1 ww english muffin, 1/2 slice ff cheese, and 1 or 2 pieces of canadian bacon (total points 3). The canadian bacon I buy is 1 point for 3 slices. I usually just use 1 or 2. I toast the muffin. Then put the cheese and canadian bacon on and pop it in the microwave for about 10 seconds.
The 3 pts is if you use the whole piece of cheese. I just use 1/2 because it'll melt way over and is just too much if I use a whole.

Another thing I do is use 1/4 c. southwestern eggbeaters and roll it up in a 2pt tortilla with a tbsp of salsa. That is also filling and only 3 points!
