Breakfast or anytime
Chocolate - Peanut Butter Oatmeal (4 points total)

½ cup old fashion oatmeal (not packets or instant) (2 points)

add ½ cup of water, microwave together 2 minutes then mix in the following:

2 teaspoons of Peter Pan Whipped Peanut butter (1 point)

1 Tablespoon of Hershey’s Chocolate Syrup (1 point ) (see note below)

(the Hershey’s chocolate is 2 tablespoons for 2 points; (or 6 teaspoons = 2 points)

you can cut some points by using just 1 teaspoon of chocolate for 0 points it equals out to 17 calories, no fat or fiber per teaspoon- if you use 2 or 3 teaspoons then it is 1 point)

That's it! Taste like the no bake cookie. Mary

Cool

This sounds yummy. I have some Walden farms chocolate syrup around. I might have to try this tonight for dessert.

Also, in place of the Hershey's syrup you can use SF DaVinci's or SF Torani chocolate flavored syrups - 0 calories, 0 points! Who can't love that?

One of the assistants at our meetings shared this recipe. While I was skepticle, i tried it. Not only was it delicious, it was filling, and kept the hunger at bay for hours!! This is two thumbs up!

I just use cocoa powder and a bit of Splenda for the chocolate component. If you mix in some canned pumpkin, it tastes like hot cake batter!

Thumbs up

I'm just chiming in with Cordy about adding the pumpkin. Here's the thread for the pumpkin version

I tried this over the week-end & used Hershey's low fat chocolate syrup. It was YUMMY! Has anyone tried to make the no-bake cookies with this recipe? If so, how did it work out?

I read this post on Friday and couldn't wait to make it. Got the ingredients and made it on Sunday. It was great. It does taste like a no-bake cookie. Very filling!

Hey...been making a version of this to make it Core. Of course you can't have the PB, but you could keep it and just count the points for it or just do this:

1/2 C. Old Fashion Oats
1 packet of FF SF hot cocoa mix (0 pts)
2 packets of Splenda
1 cup of water
- Mix and Microwave for 5 minutes at 50% power. Yummy, filling core treat!

I use pretty much the same recipe as yours HappyBbunny, except I add a mashed or cut up banana. Sounded wierd to me and first, but once I tried it, I loved it.

I count 1 point for my cocoa, as it's 40 calories (it counts as one milk)
2 points for the oatmeal
2 points for the banana

A great and satisfy Core breakfast or 5 points if you're on Flex.

I used to make the version with the pnut butter, cocoa and pumpkin. I may just add the pumpkin to the recipe above, giving me one of my veggie servings at 0 points!! I bet it will be delicious with that banana in it. I'll let you know how it turned out.

Just made this AM for brkfst. Yummy!!! I followed the 1st recipe, but can't wait to try some modifications. It was just what I needed for a cold rainy morning. I love quick, easy recipes for brkfst. I barely make it to work on time as it is and usually don't have a lot of time. This is excellant and I used the Quaker instant and cooked it 1 min. It worked out fine for me. Thanks for sharing!

Question Re: Chocolate Peanut Butter Oatmeal

This sounds fantastic! I hope it really does taste like No Bake Cookies (or Mississippi Mud cookies as I've always called them!) But...all I have are the quick cooking oats and chunky peanut butter. Think those 2 ingredients would still work??

I had this for breakfast yesterday and really enjoyed it. Not a huge oatmeal fan, but it really tasted like cookie dough! Think I'll try it on dd, as she loves oatmeal, but usually the "expensive" sugary kind in individual packets.

I tried this this morning. It was delicious. My girls loved it as well....I've never been able to get them to eat oatmeal, but never thought to add PB & chocolate to theirs. Great recipe!

I tried this tonight and it was DELISH!!

I had some nutella and used that in place of PB ... same points (tho i used the two Tbl for the 4 points - as i had a BUNCH left over today for some reason), but it was chocolatey and nutty at the same time. I also used the SF cocoa mix. YUM! I didn't wait and let it see if it would get hard like the cookies!

If you use the SF Hershey's syrup it's 15 cal 0 fat, and 0 fiber for 2 TBSP that equals 0 pts.
