Place the raw ground beef in a plastic colander. Put the colander in a microwave proof bowl that is deeper than the colander so that the bottom of the colander will not touch the drippings. Place all in the microwave and cook until the beef is browned. Separate the meat every few minutes.

The cooked beef can also be run under hot water to take out more fat.

These procedures will not change the taste but will definitely improve the fat content!!

Don't drain the fat down the sink drain. You'll have clogged pipes instead of clogged arteries!!
