Steak with Tomato Salsa

SALSA:
1/2 pint grape tomatoes, quartered
1/2 red onion -- chopped
1 jalapeno pepper -- minced
1/2 lime -- juiced
1/4 cup cilantro -- chopped
1/2 cup cooked corn
1/4 teaspoon salt

STEAK:
2 garlic cloves
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cumin
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 pound sirloin steak -- cut 1" thick

Preheat broiler.

Combine salsa ingredients and set aside.

Smash garlic and salt with side of knife to make a paste; add cumin and pepper. Spread over steak.

Broil until medium-rare, 7 minutes per side. (Personal note: I broil it longer.) Serve topped with salsa.
