NOTES : Kitchen Tip: To remove the cabbage leaves without tearing, cut out the core with a sharp knife. Cutting away part of the thick rib of each leave allows the cabbage to fold around the filling more easily. Yu can use either green cabbage or Savoy cabbage fo this recipe.

A year-round favorite, cabbage cost less than 12 a serving, making it one of the most economical vegetables you can buy. These Swedish-style rolls are filled with beef and rice in a sweet sauce. If you have leftover rice use 1 1/2 cups.
