1 15 oz. can chunky garlic & herb tomato sauce -- divided
(such as Hunt's Ready)
1 pound ground turkey
1/4 pound ground round
2/3 cup toasted wheat germ
1/2 cup minced fresh onion
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 large egg -- lightly beaten
Cooking spray

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

2. Combine 1 cup tomato sauce, turkey, and next 8 ingredients(turkey through egg)in a
large bowl, and stir until well blended. Place turkey mixture in an 8x4 inch loaf pan coated
with cooking spray. Brush remaining tomato sauce over top. Bake at 350 degrees for 1
hour and 5 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes. Remove meat loaf from pan. Cut into 12 slices.
Yield: 6 servings (serving size: 2 slices).
