Thread: Barbecue Pizzas ~ 5 Points

    Hi all ~

    I found this recipe in one of my Cooking Light magazines and we had it for dinner tonight. YUM!

    Servings: 8
    Points per Serving: 5

    1/2 lb. ground round
    1/2 cup chopped onion
    1/2 cup chopped carrot
    1/3 cup barbecue sauce
    3 tbsp. brown sugar
    4 4 oz. small boboli pizza crusts
    1/4 cup finely shredded mozzarella cheese
    2 tbsp. chopped fresh cilantro
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. black pepper

    Preheat oven to 450.

    Cook ground round, onion and carrot in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat until browned, stirring to crumble. Drain; return meat mixture to pan. Stir in barbecue sauce, sugar, salt and black pepper; reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes.

    Place pizza crusts on a baking sheet. Divide beef mixture evenly among crusts, and sprinkle with cheese. Bake pizzas at 450 for 12 minutes or until the cheese melts. Sprinkle the pizzas with cilantro.

    Serving Size: 1/2 pizza
