    Now personally, I'd add 2 more cups of pasta to this recipe and count 7 points per serving, but here's the original recipe (from JoAnna Lund's "Healthy Exchanges Food Newsletter, February, 1997; Page 4"

    White Sauce Spaghetti
    Yield: "3/4 cup" per serving
    5 points per serving

    Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method
    -------- ------------ --------------------------------
    8 ounces lean ground beef
    1/2 cup onion -- chopped
    1 can (10 3/4 oz.) cream of mushroom soup
    1 cup skim milk
    1/2 cup (one 2.5 oz jar) mushrooms -- drained and sliced
    1 1/2 teaspoons JO's Italian Seasoning
    2 cups spaghetti, cooked -- rinsed and drained
    1/4 cup (3/4 oz) fat-free parmesan cheese -- grated

    In a large skillet sprayed with butter-flavored cooking spray, brown meat and onion. Stir in mushroom soup and skim milk. Add mushrooms and JO's Italian Seasoning. Mix well to combine. Lower heat and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
    For each serving, place 1/2 cup spaghetti on a plate, spoon about 3/4 cup sauce over spaghetti, and top with 1 tablespoon Parmesean cheese.


    1) Substitute any reputable brand for JO's Italian Seasoning.
    2) 1 1/2 cups uncooked spaghetti usually cooks to about 2 cups.

    According to cookbook each serving equals:

    HE: 1 Bread, 1 3/4 Protein, 1/2 Vegetable, 1/4 Skim Milk, 1/2 Slider, 1 Optional Calories

    267 Calories, 7 gm Fat, 18 gm Protein, 33 gm Carbohydrate, 472 mg Sodium, 85 mg Calcium, 2 gm Fiber

    Diabetic: 2 Starch, 2 Meat

    Weight Watchers Points: 5

    I made this on sunday and it was excellent,instead of sprinkling the grated cheese on after I added it all to the sauce and simmered it right in, what a tasty sauce it made , but I figured it to be 5 pts without the spaghetti,did you figure the pts with the spaghetti or before ,I put mine over rice,this recipe is defenitly a keeper,thanks in advance if someone can tell me the points with or without the spaghetti. Have a great day.
