Thread: Whole wheat pizza crust

    I found this recipe on the BCB website some time ago and copied it down. Now I can't find who submited it to thank them. Since I can't find it I am submitting it again cause it is really great.

    4 tsp instant dry yeast
    2 tsp sugar
    1 c very warm water
    1 1/2 c whole wheat flour*
    Mix together yeast, sugar and water. Let stand in a warm place for 10 minutes to proof. Add flour and stir to combine (I add 1/2 tsp of salt at this time) Let stand in a draft free warm area for 10 minutes. Spray a 9x12 inch baking sheet with nonstick spray. (or you can use 2-8" cake pans) Scrape dough with a spatula sprayed with cooking spray onto baking surface. Spray dough generously before pressing into pan. Add toppings and bake at 475 for 20 to 30 minutes. 8 points for the whole crust.

    *check the points on your flour. Mine is 7 points per cup.

    I quick baked the crusts for 10 minutes and later put them on my pizza stone with sauce and veggies. It was fantastic. Tastes like deep dish pizza. Thanks so much to whoever posted this before.
