Thread: Fantastic pasta/pizza/etc sauce!!!

    Amazingly, this is one I invented myself!! I don't actually cook much, so it's doubly amazing . . . this sauce is sooo good, it tastes like something you'd eat at a restaurant. I can see myself using it on pasta or pizza or chicken or or or . . . .

    serves 2, but can easily be doubled

    1 package prewashed baby spinach (from the salad section)
    1 can diced tomatoes (with italian seasonings)
    2 cloves garlic (or more, to taste), pressed or minced

    Spray large lidded nonstick skillet or dutch oven with olive oil pam. Heat over med/med high heat and add spinach, put lid on pan. Wilt the spinach, stirring occasionally. Once wilted, add the whole can (undrained) of tomatoes and the garlic. Cook, stirring frequently, over med/med high heat until liquid is reduced and sauce starts to get thickish. Serve. Try not to lick the pan (it really is that good!)!]

    points per serving: ZERO!*

    *I actually use a bit of olive oil instead of spray stuff, so it adds a few points, but it's still really low.

    ** you could also add other stuff to this: zucchini, olives (add points), etc.
