Well I better fess up.

I recently got a home air popper to make popcorn. It takes 2 1/2 soup-spoons worth of corn kernels and pops them, making a large volumnous amount to eat (like half a large tupperware container.)

Its more than 1 cup once popped, thats for sure. And i just had it all. At least its healthy I know that but still.. portion control!!

Anyways.. how many points is this, what should i count it as? Just plain, air popped popcorn, 2.5spoons of kernals and their resulting popped result.

    Thankyou so much.

Per the online information and the books 3 cups of airpopped is 1 point. Calorie King may help you some in gathering nutritional info.

Akiraj, The bag of popcorn I have in my cabinet says 3 Tablespoons (38g) yields about 5 2/3 cups popped and has 100 calories, 1.5 g fat and 7 grams fiber. With the 4 g fiber cap that we have in the US it comes to about 1.5 points. I know points are different in Australia but I don't know how different. Hope that helps.

You have to remember that the fiber after popped is not the same as when not popped. After popped the fiber drops to less than 1 gram per cup made.
