How many points would this recipe be for
If I used that sugar twin brown sugar.
    And a low fat margarine.

    Island Carrots

    3 cups scraped, sliced carrots
    1/2 cup water
    1/2 tsp salt (optional)
    2 tbsp brown sugar
    1/2 cup crushed pineapple, drained
    2 tsp butter or margarine
Combine carrots, water, and optional salt in a saucepan. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and cook over medium heat about 10 minutes or until carrots are crisp-tender. Stir in sugar, pineapple, and butter. Heat thoroughly.

    The carrots are zero.
Assuming you used real stuff and not 'diet' substitutions, the brown sugar is 2 points (1 point per tablespoon),
    the pineapple is one point

the butter or marg are the same, at one point per tsp. so 2 points. Add it up.

sugar, 2, pineapple, 1; butter 2 so 5 for the recipe.
    3 cups scraped, sliced carrots
    1/2 cup water
    1/2 tsp salt (optional)
    2 tbsp brown sugar
    1/2 cup crushed pineapple, drained
    2 tsp butter or margarine
Combine carrots, water, and optional salt in a saucepan. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and cook over medium heat about 10 minutes or until carrots are crisp-tender. Stir in sugar, pineapple, and butter. Heat thoroughly.

    Looking in the Getting Started booklet, 2001001e Rev.0 01/03, shows Carrots - 1 cup = 1 point.
Where are they shown as zero 0 points ?

Also, somewhere I've seen them listed as:

    Thanks!

Sorry..don't know what happened. Operator error most likely !

As I was saying I've seen carrots listed as:
    1 cup uncooked = 0 points
    1 cup cooked = 1 point

I like them, but have been eating them raw
    to save points.

    Thanks!

    Tex -

1 c. raw is 0 pts and since the recipe starts with raw carrots the points are figured as such. Now, if say the recipe called for 3 cups of cooked carrots it would be more. Clear as mud?
