I have some pre WW cake and quick bread mixes and I would like to make them, but healthier. I already have some egg beaters and I have heard that you can sometimes substitute unsweetened applesauce, yogurt or sour cream for oil. What are the rules? Does it really work? I would love any suggestions.
    I can. I will.

Started WW: 9-15-09
SW: 251.4
CW: 219.0
WWGW: 150
PGW: 135
Lost: 32.4

You can substitute applesauce for oil in equal amounts (if recipe calls for 1/4 c. oil, put in 1/4 c. applesauce instead). Eggbeaters can also be substituted for whole eggs - look on the eggbeater carton to see what the equivalencies are - I think 1/4 c. is equal to 1 egg. Enjoy!
