Thread: Weight Watchers etools

  1. Default Weight Watchers etools

    Hello everyone,

I wanted to know if any one uses the save as meal functionality in etools online and what do you use it for?

    Thanks

Yes, I use it. I use it for meals I have frequently. For example I make a "meal" of the oatmeal I have in the morning. I use the tracker to enter the uncooked oats, milk I cook it in and the 2 teaspoons of oil I add. Then I save as a meal so that I can quickly select it each morning I have that for breakfast. Hope that helps.

    Thanks Luanne for your answer.

I used to use it too previously but found out that you can only track the meal once during a day.

I now use the recipe builder for that reason alone.

    Thanks once again.

I'm not sure what you mean. Once I've created a Meal, and added it to my Favorites, I can add it as many times as I want.

I don't like to use Recipe Builder for this since it includes the ni for ALL ingredients, even those with 0 points, and can inflate the point total.

    Hi Luanne

When I try to add a meal twice during one period (morning, midday,or evening) it does not allow me to do it.

So if I have a sandwich as a meal and have 2 in the morning I have to add one in the morning and the other in the evening.

If you have made your sandwich a meal and you have two in the morning you should be able to change the serving size to two. Maybe I'm still not understanding the problem.

    Sorry Luanne for the confusion.

I am making a meal for one sandwich and trying to add that meal as a whole twice in the same period, and it is not allowing me.

If I am understanding you correctly if I am going to make 2 sandwiches then I create one meal that contains the 2 sandwiches, however the problem here is that during another time if I had one I can not add half a serving (or I am doing it incorrectly).

That is why I started using the recipe builder's sandwich option.

Thanks for all your help and sorry for the confusion.

Let me see if I can explain myself better.

Enter the ingredients for ONE sandwich, in the title it might be helpful to include that it is one sandwich. Save as a Meal.

When you want to eat TWO of this sandwich at the same time, change the quantity from 1 to 2.

    Does that make sense?

I use it often, especially for breakfast. I really have 3 breakfasts that I rotate, so it makes tracking very simple. I don't like recipe builder, because it sometimes doubles the points of my meals. I make wraps for lunch, where flataout light and protein are the only ingredients with points, and in the recipe builder they cam be very "pricey".
