Thread: some work to do!

    Default some work to do!

    Starting tomorrow friends it's 2 pounds a week. My goal is to lose 10 pounds a month. 2 pounds doesn't seem like much but it's a goal that's attainable

    You're setting the bar quite high at 2 lbs a week. WW recommends .5 to 2 a week if you follow the program. It's hard to maintain a loss that dramatic if it comes off quickly. Be prepared for some smaller weeks and be happy it's coming off.

    I completely agree with Peg--you're likely to be setting yourself up for disappointment by believing you'll lose 2 lbs. per week. If you are true to the program, you will probably have some weeks where you lose two pounds (and sometimes three), but it would be unusual to see that kind of a loss week after week. The upside is that the WW program, although you don't see dramatic results quickly, is a program that you can live with for life.

    Agreed, if you're doing WW, then you MAY have some big losses in the first couple of weeks. But, after that, you may see no loss, maybe a small gain, or a loss around 2/10ths or 6/10ths of a pound each week. But, that's OK.

    If you want to lose 2 pounds a week, you can do it by starving yourself and working out 6 hours a day - seven days a week. But, that's not healthy and it's not teaching you a way to learn how to eat properly where you can eat what you want, with moderation, and not feel deprived, and still maintain a healthy weight.
