Lightbulb Vita-Mix Cold Compost (aka Dinosaur Vomit)

    Hey, Buddies!

Just in case anybody has a Vita-Mix and needs compost for their garden, I thought I'd share: VM Cold Compost (aka Dinosaur Vomit)!

Still hanging in eating mostly plants...that's why I need to grow-my-own!

    Miss you all ~

    Carol

Carol, what a great idea. I've been trying to figure out where to put a traditional composting station in our yard where it gets enough sun, enough shade, & doesn't interfere with the sprinkler system or garden. I'll try this route instead. I hope it will work with a regular blender, though, since I don't have a vita-mix.

It's not enough to want it, you have to want it enough.

Hi, Donna! It's working for me now.

I was experiencing the same frustrations, Dandy. A blender will certainly liquify ingredients. You might want to avoid some really tough things, or use more liquid, or start with smaller pieces. Doing any of those things should help the blending process.

In 2 days I've put down 3-containers of cold compost. Today I had my recipe "failure" (oats and beans...with water) and I had lots of orange peels for my 3rd batch. The soil is getting "plastered" with cold compost.

Tell me what you think of it ~ It will make the worms happy!
