    Default SFT Weekly Thread Mar.14 - 20

Monday morning get up and go!

We were lazy this weekend and did not do a meal plan, but I will put a large slow cooker full of vegetarian chili before I head off for work and that will buy me some time. I work out of town today - about an hour away, and on the way back pass a good grocer's so will stop in and pick up some food.

I am going to go to the mall to walk again this week - not ideal, but it is something.

    See you all later!

Sounds like you got a good game plan today Soda -
I'm back and need to focus once and for all.
I hit my heaviest post WW-weight and I just cannot put up with it anymore.

I'm not going to let my job and moving get in the way of me looking awesome for the summer.

    How is everyone else doing?

I do not have a food plan as usual, except for staying on track. If I could find the bottom of my crock pot I would do something in there but have the top and the lid but not the electric portion. UGH!!! I am going to try to cook some fresh green beans and taters and eat some left over turkey and meatloaf sometime. Eat plenty of fruits and veggies as the fridge is stocked with them and not let them waste. I will post on the menu thread daily. Of course now we are in love with confetti salad so that will be here a couple of days this week too.
Never give up or look back,

    Mickee

Sorry I didn't get a chance to post this morning. Looks like you guys are on track for a great week.

I have breakfast ready in the fridge to just grab. Lunch will be leftovers each day. snacks are all prepared and ready to go. Supper just has to be decided daily.

I had hoped to get a short walk in on lunch today, but our lunch got cut really short due to being really busy. Looks like it might be that way most of the week. Glad I got a walk in yesterday.

Hope everyone is having a great OP day. I will check back in tomorrow morning.

Hi everyone - checking in this evening.
Got to the grocer's so picked up some things that will make it easy to get meals ready. Some broccoli slaw that I can take to work with added chopped apple, some baked falafel, lots of salad greens already prepped, apples, kiwi, frozen blueberries, ff Greek yogurt, some hash browns that are just shredded potato that I can cook up in the non stick pan.

Spending waaay too much time perusing vacation sites for Quebec. We had a Quebec buddy here for awhile who was moving to the US - are you still peeking in?

We were in Niagara Falls at the Great Wolf Lodge (water park) for the past two days. I very happily ate dinner last night that consisted entirely of veggies. I took all their roasted veggie "garnish" by the pork. They had entire onions, peppers and what I took were the zucchini, summer squash and pineapple!! I also took some of their other roasted veggies but they were salted within an inch of their lives. Believe it or not, but their baked potatoes were entirely coated with salt!! I think that their MO was to salt everything so that you couldn't eat as much!!!

I didn't get a chance to weigh in this week so I'll post a maintain. I'm certainly not getting on the scale tomorrow with all the sodium I've had pumped into my system over the past 3 days. I'm going to drink lots of water, take some Vitamin B tablets and stick to my Target for the rest of the week!

Soda- My BIL has XBOX and does the "live" program. Whenever I call to talk to my sister, I can hear him yammering away loudly in French to his friends around the world. I am not sure what they play-- probably Call Of Duty or Kill Zone!!

Mickee- I like green beans but Jeff's allergic so we rarely have them here!

Michelle- Good for you to get back on track! You're right that it's worth working on this even when our lives are beyond stressful!!

Sheri- I like it when meals are waiting in the fridge!!

Good Morning Buddies. Gonna do a quick fly-by. I overslept this morning, so need to get my rear in gear.

Food is ready for the day, hope to get a 20 minute walk in at lunch today - but today's schedule looks like yesterdays did, so that might not happen. Supper will be thrown in the crockpot again this morning, so no worries there.

Have a great OP day everyone.

I just wanted to say "hi"! Hope everybuddy's doing well ~

I've done well with a template of: Breakfast Salad (with beans, greens, veggies, some nuts and dressing). An afternoon Banana "Shake" (banana, soymilk, ice, date for sweet), and a VitaMix fruit-freeze or "ice cream " for an after dinner dessert. (Sometimes 2 meals: brunch and early dinner; sometimes breakfast/lunch/dinner, depending)

Had a great week on-program, and then a not as great week, and am now back to to working on another on-program week!

I am so saddened by the tsunami and earthquake's destruction and massive loss of life...

    Take Good Care ~

I am here again, have food for the day and don't see a problem staying OP today. Very excited, that the farm where I get my produce and dairy have just received new beef products so ordered more than I should have and they will arrive tomorrow. Now to make room in the freezer for them. Yeah!!! No hormones, or grains, just good grass fed beef. Now back to work, the task master is calling my name.

late check in for me too.

Carol, a template is a good idea - I was thinking of that the other day - a simple plan that keeps meals on track.

Because we do not have cable we have not watched coverage of Japan other than still images on the computer, i just watched yesterday some video footage and was speechless.

Kimberly, your lodge trip sounded fun, if on the salty side . I have never heard of someone being allergic to green beans before.Your poor family has so many food restrictions.

mickee- sounds like you are on track

Sheri, I did a 15 minute each way walk with DD tonight to a video store and back with a long stop at the drugstore while she perused make up

Pace is picking up here. I have applied for a bunch of conferences and trainings and most are getting approved so that is great but also means a lot of time away and staying super organized.

Good Morning Buddies. Today was my weigh in and I was down 2.2 pounds. Very happy with getting back on SF. I did get a walk in at lunch yesterday, and hope to do the same today.

Looks like everyone is doing good. I am off work tomorrow and will try to do some personals then.

Have a great OP day everyone.

Sheri - Congrats on the loss, that's amazing!
Soda - I took a short walk yesterday too, it was so sunny out - still chilly but at least it was a form of exercise.
Kim - That waterpark looks amazing - I always see the commercials on TV!
Mickee - I'm glad to see you're still here, last time I was around I saw that you were pretty fed up and wanted to quit! I'm SO happy to see you're still posting and doing well.

As for me, well I guess stressful situations happen all at once don't they? My dad got a cat scan around my birthday and kept it from me until I celebrated and informed me he might have cancer. He currently has a tumor in his sinuses, which can commonly be a polyp too - but at this point the specialist just wants him to get it removed (April 18th) and then test the mass instead of aggravating it with a biopsy. It's been really hard emotionally and I'm just trying to keep my head up right now and just wait and see how things go after the 18th.

Phew... it was really hard just to type that out.

    Good Morning!

Was under points yesterday but had lots of fruit & veg so it's all good. My skin has started to break out with some boils and rashes from the chlorine at the water park so I'll be dealing with that over the next week (just in time for the uterine infection that will pop up at some point). I've got my food plan for today all set so I'll stick with it. A bit depressing to have to stick to Target all week long in the hopes that the sodium retention will be gone at next WI so the best I can hope for is to maintain for 3 weeks straight. I really don't like traveling & eating out!!

Michelle- I really hope it's just a polyp!

Soda- We do have a lot of allergies here and there-- oranges, green beans, walnuts, coconut, etc. It can get confusing!! LOL

Carol- Good to hear from you!

    Sheri- Congrats on the loss!

Mickee- Great news about the farm!

    hi everyone,

Michelle - sorry to hear that. My dad had something similar and it did turnout to be a polyp, so fingers crossed for your dad.

    good work sheri!

Kimberly I am having to eat totally power foods until Sunday and so far so good today

Nice night at home relaxing with family, and doing a few chores.

Michelle - Praying for a favorable outcome for you dad.

Kimberley - Glad you all had a nice time away. We have a Great Wolf Lodge about 20 miles from us and I would like to go sometime just to see how nice it is.

Soda - Sorry your 49 WPA are gone but you can make it a power week.

Just kinda enjoying the evening. Not having much work this week as it is spring break. Gonna take DD to take her driving test on Friday so have to get the car cleaned up before then. Everyday has been so busy. No time to rest.
Never give up or look back,

Up in the middle of the night & can't get back to sleep. Headache, earache, a bit nauseous. Hopefully I can get back to sleep and wake up feeling better!

Good weather here-- got out on two walks & a bike ride yesterday. Hope to get out and do something today if I can make the time (busy day planned).

Stuck to Target again yesterday and have banked almost 20APs to cover using up all the WPAs on the first day of my week. Scale was up 5lbs after 2 days away (sodium water retention). Have thus far got it down 2. Hopefully the rest will go in the next couple of days!

Mickee- I hope your Great Wolf Lodge is nicer than ours. I was quite disappointed. It was *very* expensive because of March Break. They billed the rooms as queen sized but the beds were double. It's really geared towards the very young as a lot of the space was splash pad, wading pools, smaller slides, etc. They had 7 full sized water slides but they were all in the same tower so you basically spent the entire time walking up the same set of stairs. The icing on the cake for me is that I'm allergic to chlorine so I've already had to deal with a bunch of skin infection issues, now I've got an earache and I'll have a uterine infection in the next week as well. I told the kids that we've crossed it off the bucket list and I have no intention of going back! LOL

Soda- Hang in there!! I start to panic when all my points are gone, even when doing SFT. I feel better with a cushion!

Happy St. Patrick's Day Buddies. I am up and getting ready to get a start on my busy, busy day. No work today, just a million other things that I need to get done.

Yesterday was totally OP but ate a little more than I probably should have. Did get in a 30 minute walk at lunch. It was beautiful out. Supposed to be even better today. I am aiming for at least a 30 minute walk this afternoon as well.

Kimberely: I hope you get better soon. All those allergies sure do play havoc with you.

Soda: You can do it. I rarely use my WPA. I do try to use my AP's though.

Mickee: Ahhh...a DD who is getting her license. Boy do I remember those days.

Michelle: Hang in there. Prayers for your dad.

Have a wonderful OP day everyone.

inside all day at work but when I came out to the parking lot... ahhhh... warmer air and breezy.

Pretty good food wise, counting points until Sunday to stay on track. Glad we are such a flexible bunch : )

Kimberly I am always impressed with your activity levels. Hope you are feeling better?

    Hi everyone else

Kimberley - Please do feel better. I wasn't aware of all your allergies. That must be the pits. I have driven by our Great Wolf Lodge but it is quite expensive and that is why we have not stayed there. As DD is 18 some of the thrill may be gone if it is geared toward the young group.

Sheri - We have spent years, literally, getting through drivers Ed and finally got a permit then had to renew the permit. I just can't get her to drive. She totally hates it. So it will be a great milestone if she passes the test. She was 18 in January.

Soda - Glad you are doing well and I know you can count points and make it work.

As far as me, I had a kinda crummy day. Too much running here and there and never got to eat a decent meal and still working as I could never get home to get started. So I am about to scream and pull my hair out at the same time.
Never give up or look back,

TGIF Buddies. I dug into some of my WPA last night...just couldn't get full. I think it is because I ate light all day and then it really hit me. Will bulk up the protein today a little bit.

Got my grocery shopping done yesterday, so I am stocked up on fruit again - bananas, grapes, peaches, plums, apples. Lots of choices and all so good.

Have a great OP day everyone.

Default Re: SFT Weekly Thread Mar.14 - 20

    Good Afternoon!

I did not feel well yesterday. I should have anticipated the ear infection I'd get from the water park. I was more concerned about the skin infections (which I also got), the yeast infection (which I have today) and the uterine infection (which I can tell is coming as I've got bad cramps brewing!). This is really the gift that keeps on giving! I was commenting to a friend last night that there really should be a limit on what we'll do for our kids. If it wasn't enough to actually carry them and give birth to them, then keeping them alive when they were utterly dependent, I think that the limit has to start with me not getting in chlorinated water for them!! LOL

I didn't get any exercise yesterday. I tried to stay to my Target but did some evening snacking and used up some of my banked APs. I went on a 10km walk/run with Jeff & Claire this morning and hope to do an 11 mile bike ride with the boys this evening so if I can stick to Target today, I'll be able to bank today's APs. If I don't get some more APs banked and stick to my Target these next 3 days, I likely won't even see a maintain on the scale come Monday.

Today's food plan-- I made a veggie lasagna last night and had some for breakfast. Something went wrong and it didn't taste right. I'm really bummed because that was my plan for one meal a day over the next 3-4 days. *sigh* I guess I'll do tuna veggie salad for lunch and baked potato again for dinner if I don't come up with another idea.

Mickee- It's not really a place for adults. Half of the park is taken up with splash pad areas, kiddie slides, wave pool, lukewarm hot tubs and then the one main area that has all 6 major slides. I have motion sickness so all that round and round had me almost hurling into the pool! LOL

Sheri- I think that was my problem yesterday as well. I got up late (after being up through half of the night), had a ton of things to do in the morning, had a late lunch, didn't make the best choices, it triggered me off for the rest of the day. I need to keep things BALANCED!!

Soda- The weekend is almost here! I'm with you on having to walk the straight and narrow until the bank resets on Monday!

Good Morning Buddies. Slept 11 hours last night. Feel great. Nothing big planned for today. Going to try to get out and get the yard cleaned up this afternoon.

Food is good. Will use some WPA's tonight on a Lean Cuisine Pizza and have a salad along with it.

Have a great OP day everyone.

sheri - 11 hours of sleep? ahhh that sounds so nice. I had to call our neigbours about their music after midnight last night. Coupled with a 3 a.m. call to the police the night before to report two men going from car to car trying the door handles our sleep has been disrupted and I can feel it.

Looking forward to this weekend as there are no meetings, just family time and my brother and kids are coming into town to visit tomorrow.

DD is like your daughter mickee. She hates driving, is still taking her in car lessons but never practices. I do not want to practice with her as I know I can get very critical. My friend told me to go out with her, sit on my hands and no matter what happens just say, " good job!" to boost her confidence. So, today I am going out with her while DS is at swim lessons. Wish her (and me) luck!

    Good Morning!

I'm happy to report that I stuck to Target yesterday and was able to bank the 13APs I earned. I'm not sure I will have enough banked by tomorrow to make up the full balance of the weeklies. I've paid back my weekly bank to 35 points but it's doubtful I'll earn 14APs tomorrow. I'll aim for at least 10 and see how it goes!

This morning, I got the boys off to bowling, came home to do a FIRM workout, picked up the boys, had a quick lunch and then walked the 5 mile loop to Wal-Mart so they could pick out their new Beyblades. Nathan's got a friend coming over any minute now. I'll likely shower and then slip out to do some shopping this afternoon. We'll watch one of our movies from Blockbuster tonight!

OP plan: apple for breakfast; tortilla pizza for lunch; quark & pineapple for an afternoon snack; thinking I might make a spaghetti pie (recipe from the WW app) for dinner!

I didn't get my license until I was 19 years old. I took driving lessons as neither of my parents could deal with me. We'll have to do the same with Claire. She really has a hard time paying attention to detail so it doesn't matter if she gets her license or not-- I'm not going to let her drive my car! LOL

Sheri- Wow, I'd love to get that much sleep. It's always upsetting the few times my parents take all the kids because I either have a hard time getting to sleep, get woken up in the middle of the night or else wake up early because my body is used to it!!
