    Default SFT Wednesday Check in

    off to work shortly,
    Our schedule is changing with DS's school change and it has had one bad effect on my eating. He can sleep in a late as 8:20 and still get to school on time so consequently he and everyone else has shifted to staying up later. Instead of being asleep at 9 or 10 I am now awake until midnight or later and am eating at midnight.

    I need to sit and think about how to deal with this in a way that works for me. I am hungry at midnight, dinner was at 6 p.m and midnight I am far enough past taking my thyroid meds. that it is ok to eat, but it just seems wrong to eat and then go to sleep. Maybe it isn't though I just need to build in a power foods mini meal?

    I rebounded yesterday from my mini debacle on Monday evening. I banked 10APs yesterday to put towards my WPAs. I'm still aiming to just eat my APs each week but if I don't completely pay back the WPAs, so be it. I'll likely need to eat some of my APs today or else I'll get too hungry with the exercise. I can eat them one day, bank them the next for the remainder of the week and that will pay back the WPA bank (if I choose to pay it back!!).

    Soda- I try to remind myself that the body needs around 12-15 hours of fasting each night to have the food digested, the hormones rebalance and be ready for the next day. I do agree with you that it's hard to not snack at night when you stay up later. I try to keep it to veggies, otherwise it tends to create a cycle with me where I eat something at night, am not hungry immediately upon waking so I wait a bit to eat breakfast and that just extends things further out. If I can go to bed slightly hungry and eat as soon as I wake up, that's the ideal!!

    Soda - to sleep at 9-10 sounds so foreign to me. We are definitely night owls here and rarely and I mean rarely turn the T.V. off before midnight. In fact I usually don't stop working until 10 p.m. Dinner time is usually around 9-10 ish. DD goes to home school group 3 days a week and no certain time to be there so she gets up usually around 9 ish, on the college days she does have a deadline and has to get up to make an 8 a.m. class one day and 9:30 class another. I of course have to get up too as I have to be the chauffeur to all these appointments. My work is from home and basically 24/7 so I work when I am away if it is 6 a.m. or 10 a.m. whatever time I get up I start to work and stop when I genuinely finish.

    I didn't see any menus yet, but here is mine.

    I will use the fasting idea as my "trick" to get through tonight.

    I don't sleep as well when I eat before bed. It's like my body is so busy digesting that I can't get to sleep. I do better with herbal tea.

    It's only 6 pm here on the West Coast. I'm eating roasted veggies and DH is snoring in the recliner.

    Went to the gym on my way home. 35 min eliptical/bike combo. It was good to be back!

    but then Thursday and Friday night did not work out because I was out late working, so back to evening fasting as of today, Saturday
