    Default SFT Food Plans February 7 - 11

    OK, let's get some meal plans posted here for the week

    The more we work out the details of our food the better we will do. We paid attention to WPA'S last week, so now it's the whole enchilada - Power Foods and WPA's and stopping when satisfied.


    A few things I did this week to be ready;

    - bought a large bag of frozen fruit salad. not a real fave of this, but it serves the purpose of being a Power food and dessert like, and the kids like it. We will take out 4 servings in the morning so they are defrosted for dinner time.

    - Bought 4 bags of prepared tossed salad for 4 dinners

    - Bought a 1 pound tub of raw baby spinach and a 2.5 pound bag of frozen blueberries. All ingredients for breakfast smoothies.

    - Made 6 servings of oatmeal for my word mini meals

    - Did not buy cookies for the kids.

    - Did not buy pretzels, crackers or any other salty snack.

    - Printing this post to tape on the cupboard

    Monday to Friday breakfast will be:

    Rainbow smoothie ( spinach, blueberries, banana and ground flax)
    2 slices lite toast with 1 tbsp p.b. (2 WPA)

    Monday - yes

    Mini meals for work will be any combo, or all, of the following depending on hunger and length of work day

    - vegetarian chili/lentil soup/ whatever is in the freezer from previous dinner leftovers.

    - oatmeal with fruit and/or yogurt

    - if no oatmeal is cooked, then a container of shredded wheat with bran and soy milk with a diced apple.

    - vegetables ( these will be from frozen and heated in the morning to take to work in a thermos)

    - raw fruit and mini carrots

    - lite bread with ff cheese slice

    - ff sf yogurts

    Dinners are:
    Monday - tossed salad, brown rice with curried chickpeas, fruit salad - check

    Tuesday - lentil soup with oat groats, lite toast with ff cheese, salad, fruit salad

    Wednesday - vegetarian 3 bean chili, lite toast, fruit salad

    Thursday - pasta with homemade sauce, fruit salad

    Friday - leftovers

    Soda, I like your plan! It smells like success.

    Here is my plan for the week.
    B. Oats of some kind, fruit, almond milk.
    L. Large (5-6 cups) salad of greens, raw and cooked veg, and fat free dressing (homemade). Either beans on the salad or a bean soup/stew.
    Sn. Green smoothie.
    D. I only have 2 plans for now. A grain/a bean/a green, or Homemade garden burgers, cooked veg, yam.

    I will think of more dinner meals and post them. Also will post what dinner I actually eat.

    This is just what I need.

    OK, plan for tomorrow is salad with Heavenly Veg soup for lunch. Dinner is artichoke red lentil stew, and greens/mushroom/onion for dinner.

    Changing the dinner veg to steamed broccoli instead.

    OK, Donna

    I am up in the middle of the night having a bowl of cereal. I woke at 3 a.m., hungry, my last food was at 6 p.m.

    I tried ignoring it and could not fall back asleep so ate the cereal, am here for a few minutes than back to try and get a few more hours sleep.

    Last night before bed I put all the ingredients for the morning smoothie int eh blender and left in the fridge ready t be whizzed. Blueberries will defrost a bit which will make it less frosty.

    Soda - Not sure I can plan for an entire week, but will give it a shot. Normally can't get through a day without multiple changes.

    Monday

    B-Lemon yogurt (3)

    S-Banana

    L-None.

    D-Outback Steakhouse, 6 oz steak, 2 shrimp and 1 scallop on mango salsa, with steamed veggies (21)



    Tuesday

    B-cream of wheat, milk and banana (6)

    S-apple

    L-salad with ranch dressing (3)

    S-Grapes

    D-Buffalo burger, green beans (5)

    S-All Brand and milk (5)


    Wednesday

    B-poached egg, orowheat toast, 2 slices bacon (6)

    S-drinkable yogurt (5)

    L-buffalo with spinach, mushrooms, feta (6)

    S-Banana

    D-meatloaf, steamed veggies (6)

    S-All Brand and milk (5)

    Thursday

    B-Drinkable yogurt
    (6)

    S-Banana

    L-meatloaf sandwich on flatout fold over, grapes
    (9)

    D-chicken stir fry (5)

    S-All Bran and milk (5)

    Friday

    B-Pennsylvania baked oatmeal
    (6)

    S-Banana

    L-Tuna salad on flatout fold over bread, grapes
    (6)

    D-Eating out ????

    Saturday

    B-Pennsylvania baked oatmeal
    (6)

    L-baked potato with butter (8)

    D-Salmon and green beans (7)

    S-All bran and milk (5)

    Sunday

    B-Greek yogurt
    (6)

    L- Eat out ????

    D-Sandwich - flatout bread, LF turkey, cheese, olive oil mayo,
    with fruit.

    There, I made a whole week of menus and now lets see how well I stick to them.

    I'll simply update through the week, my menus are usually all the same.
    Breakfast is smoothies, Snacks are almonds and fruit, Lunch will be tofu scramble or leftovers.
    Dinners are whole grains with a lean protein and lots of veggies.

    This week I'll be sure to get some additional exercise and watch my sodium.

    MONDAY - TARGET 29
    7/49 WAPs used - 2 APs earned

    Breakfast: Smoothie with Blueberries/Strawberries/Peaches and Soy Milk 3/29
    Lunch: Hot tea and toast with a little earth balance 9/29
    Snacks: Had a bit of my boyfriend's tofu scramble 1pt 10/29
    Dinner: Buckwheat noodles with bok choy and shittake mushrooms and sweet chili tofu 18/29
    Soy Ice Cream (10) 28/29
    Smoothie (3) 31/29
    Pretzels with Mustard (7) 38/29 - 9 WAPs used.
    Finally exercised today! Did some yoga! 3 APs earned!

    Breakfast: Smoothie with Blueberries/Strawberries/Peaches and Soy Milk 3/29
    Snacks for today: Organic Baby Carrots, Almonds (5), an apple and tea. 8/29
    Lunch: Soba Noonles with tofu, bokchoy and mushrooms with chili sauce (8) 16/29
    Workout: 5k - 5 APs.
    Had a Gatorade afterwards 1 Pt. 17/29
    Dinner: Chimichanga. Tortilla (5), Cheeze (1), Beans (2), Grilled Veggies and Spices, Cilantro Rice (2) Oil (1). 11 pts total. 28/29
    Kale Chips with Nutritional Yeast and a little olive oil and salt (3) 31/29 (2 WAPs used).
    Smoothie (3) - 5 WAPS used
    Chimichanga leftovers 4 pts 9 WAPS used total.

    S: oatmeal with fruit and yogurt, roasted vegetables, shredded wheat with milk, leftover fruit salad with shredded whweat "croutons" : ), a shortbread cookie (3)

    Monday my menu got changed, but I have edited it and was still within my point range. But such is life. Let see if today is any better.

    Wednesday
    B: oatmeal with diced apples

    L:tossed salad, brown rice with fruit and yogurt, a cookie at a coffee place ( 4 and 9/49)

    D: leftover lentil stew topped with sliced potato and cheese, salad, cereal and milk, 2 ounces wine (2)

    late night : bagel with lite cream cheese (10) saltines (5) peanut butter (4) granola bar (5), small rye and water (2) (really small, but still, I think it played a part in this overeating)
    I am not a big drinker at all but I think I will have to say no alcohol until I get to goal as it does lead to me eating refined cabs.

    28 WPA's ! In one day! Almost a whole days extra food! (33/49)

    I have 4 WPA's left per day to get through Sunday so I need to plan for those as much as I plan the the meals. I am treating them like something I can dip into whenever I fee l like and that only lasts so long

    B: ginger lentil soup ( it was on hand and it is cold outside so I wanted heat not cold smoothies), soy milk

    L: leftover lentils and potato, carrost, apple, salad, ff sf yogurt - bringing a lot to work so i do not eat off program

    S; banana, apple and yogurt, leftover potato and lentils, tea with soy milk

    D: pasta with homemade sauce plus a salad.

    Plan is for no WPA's today

    Goal met - no WPA's today

    not a balanced day, eh after effects of traveling. Better tomorrow . Smoothie ingredients are in the blender already.
