    Exclamation HELP! Birthday Next Week!

So this will be my first birthday on WW and I am not sure where to turn. To be brutally honest, I'm not so sure it's the food I am scared of so much as the alcohol. I will be turning 22 next Wednesday and there are all sorts of events planned. Dinner and drinks Wednesday night, Atlantic City for dancing, dinner, drinks and who knows what else over the weekend. The problem is that only 1 out of all of my friends even knows that I am on WW and I prefer to keep it to myself. How do I steer clear of not only over eating, but the traditional pushing of the alcohol on one's birthday?? Help!!

What do you need to make it a celebration?
Is it people or food and drink?

    Simple rules for tempting foods:
    Avoid them.
    Portion them.
    or
    Walk them off.

    Good Luck and Happy Birthday!

    CW -

Both I think... It's not that I can't live without food/drink... That's not it at all. I have learned to take myself out of/bear through many social situations while doing WW. BUT....... it's my birthday and I don't feel like I should be depriving myself of anything. That's the point of WW right? It's not a diet, it's a lifestyle. So, I guess my question stated better would be what are some pointers as to how I can have all of these things but still keep it under control?

    Thanks!!

    Good.
    I'm glad you see that.
It is important to be able to enjoy ALL the things that matter.

The rules for tempting foods still apply. Avoid the things that are not worth your efforts and portion out the things that are. If you go over daily and weekly points... get out and work off the extra points you consume.

What I do in bars is have a beer then a water then repeat...
    It saves points and money

If I don't want to drink but have friends that are food pushers I put a lime in my water to keep them from pushing more drinks on me.

    Good luck, have fun.
