Thread: Core Granola?

  1. #1

    Default Core Granola?

I saw someone mention this in a thread recently and it sounds like something I might like. Can someone post the recipe for me or link me to it if it's already posted?

    Thanks!

Here's how I make my granola. I have tweaked the original recipe...

    • 5 cups oats
    • 3/4 c dry milk powder
    • 1 T apple pie spice (I mix my own, google it)
    • 2 T oil
    • 1/4 c splenda
    Mix all that together, add:
    • 1/2 c milk
    • 1/2 c sugar free (coffee flavoring) syrup of your choice
Combine all ingredients. Spray a large pan with nonstick spray, spread the granola out, spray again. Bake at 300 for 45 minutes (or until as crispy as you like it), flip/stir if wanted halfway through bake time. This granola will be "chunky".

I make the same recipe as Linda...next time I am going to try out Lynn's 'tweaked' version!

I have been meaning to try the granola for a while. I made Lynn's version last night and had it with milk this morning. It is so good!! I did 3 cups of oats and 2 cups of steel cut oats. I don't know what I expected, but it is just like regular granola! My 2 year old son likes it too! I am going to try it with the Muesli tomorrow. I should have tried this a lot sooner, will definately have to always have some on hand.
