Thread: Homemade almond milk?

  1. Question Homemade almond milk?

Has anyone ever made their own almond milk and figured out points for it?

I basically make it by soaking 1 cup of almonds in water overnight and then drain and process them in my VitaMix with 3 cups of water until it's pretty smooth. Then use a cheesecloth type strainer to strain it (you end up throwing a lot of stuff away).

I just don't have any idea how to calculate that. I've read elsewhere that it's not comparable to the store-bought almond milk, so not sure what to do.

I don't know how to calculate it either but I will tell you that I tried making my own once and the amount I got from the amount of almonds I used wasn't worth it to me. I'm back to buying Almond Breeze.
