    Default Ground Beef Stew

    Ingredients
    1 pound 93/7 ground beef
    6 medium (about 50 oz) potatoes, peeled and cubed
    16 oz baby carrots
    3 cups water
    2 tablespoons dry onion soup mix
    1 garlic clove, minced
    1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
    1 teaspoon salt
    1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
    1/4 teaspoon pepper
    10.75 oz can condensed tomato soup, undiluted

    Directions
    1. In a large skillet, cook beef over medium heat until no longer pink; drain.
    2. In a 5-qt. slow cooker, combine the next nine ingredients. Stir in the beef. Cover and cook on high for 4-5 hours.
    3. Stir in soup and tomato paste; cover and cook for 1 hour longer or until heated through.

    I made this for dinner tonight and it was delicious. The perfect meal for a chilly evening.

    Since tomato paste is listed in the directions, but not in the ingredient list, I winged it and added about half of one of the tiny cans and it was fine - not too thick yet not runny. This one is a keeper in my household!
