Thread: Egg question

  1. #1

    Default Egg question

OK, this is weird but my curiosity makes me ask:

What do you do when you crack your egg open to poach it, and it has a double yolk? (Other than show your kids so they can get very excited about it.)

Does something like this count extra in points, since it has 2 yolks? I ate the egg and counted it as usual, but maybe I should have thrown an extra point on?

Not exactly a burning question, but I was wondering.

Good question! I would probably add another point for a double yolk.

Thanks, Darlene, that's what I'm thinking too. Not that this sort of thing comes up all that often, but still...

Most of the calories and all of the fat in an egg are in the yolk. That being said, I would not add a point. I would just consider it one of those lucky things that happens every once in awhile that you don't deserve. Like seeing a rainbow or finding money in an old purse.
