Hello, I was wondering if anyone knows how much a baked potato was? I have found a resturant that has a "fat free" baked potato... looks yummy.. hehe

It really depends on the size of the potato. a potatoe the size of your computer mouse is about three points. If you have a big one like the ones at wendy's they are 5 points. Be wary of what you put on them too. I use icbinb spray and ff sour cream (1 extra point)

HUH? Maybe it depends on the size of your computer mouse (some are HUGE).

Plain potatoes are about 1 Point per 3 oz. (before cooking). That would be the size of a traditional small computer mouse. Restaurant potatoes are around 3 or 4 Points plain. The one at Wendy's runs 5 Points but I think that one is brushed with stuff even if it has no toppings.

What kills potatoes is all the stuff people put on them. Just because it's "fat free" doesn't mean it won't add calories or Points.

Hmmm.. I guess it would depend on the size of your mouse. Sorry if I gave the wrong information but I was just going by what my leader told me when I first started ww. According to the Eat Wisely book: 1 small 2" diameter, 3 oz cooked would be 1 point (and one very small computer mouse!) A large, 5" , or 7 oz cooked potato would be 3 points (and the size of my computer mouse) It really is the stuff you put on them that gets you though. Make sure you eat the skin! It's got lots of fiber!

Actually, it's 1 point for a 3 oz. potato after cooking. With my microwave, that's about a 4.5 oz. uncooked potato. Still, it's a pretty small potato.

Another good reason to switch to Core - a Core baked potato with all fat-free toppings would be Core (depending on what the toppings are -- e.g. ff cream cheese would not be Core)! I have eaten a baked potato almost every night while doing WW. I use Butter Buds and my oil, and ff sour cream and chives. I think it's what made WW doable for me!

Just checked nutritiondata. A medium (~6 oz.) after cooking works out to 2 Points, small (~3-4 oz.) is 1 pt. These may look small but they are quite filling. I'm not interested in anything larger, it would be too much for me.

For my family we weigh out 15 oz. of potatoes (uncooked) and that is enough for 3 of us including one growing, athletic teenager.
