Default how many points is a tiny packet of peanut butter

hi just curious, i can not find any information on the nutritional value in a tiny pack of peanut butter or jam. those small handy packets that they have at tim hortons.

my brother is severely allergic to all tree nuts, so i have to take those packets with me with bread slices, and make my own sandwich at the library cafe. i know that 1tbsp is 2 points. is it a good estimate to assume that packet has 1 tbsp? i was thinking more so a teaspoon. 1 packet barely covers my ww bread slice.

also curious as to how many points cheese whiz is, per tbsp. i can easily look that up ofcourse, just wondering if anyone who replies to this post also knows that off the top of their head.

    thanks in advance

I don't know for sure, but I would go with 1 point for 2 packets.

Does the packet say how much it weighs?

1 tbs of peanut butter is usually 16 grams which would be 2 points.

I found this size package which is 21 grams which would be 3 points.

eek. no joanne! i liked zoma's answer more lol.

i was jumping for joy when she approximated 2 packs=1 point. and yes it is roughly the same size a little smaller in height and width tho. i can barely filll up a teaspoon with the amount they have. i searchd the whle packet, there is zippo on info. excpet the brand. and the brand site doesnt list any info.

it is just kraft peanut butter.

i am guesstimating. if 1 tbsp=2 points. should one packet equal 1 point, or less?

is peanut butter a healthy thing to eat?

i just put it on ww bread, and eat about 3 sandwiches while studying with fruit. its the only way i stay concentrating, without leaning towards a huge 10 point sub like before. and it has that sugar tooth that it satisfies.

    thanks for your replies

The most accurate way to know would be to weigh the packet full and empty and find out how much peanut butter you are actually consuming.
PB can be part of a healthy diet, but it's very dense in points and "guessing" on the amount can lead to trouble. JMO

I think Joanne is right on target.

I found this website that sells them in bulk:

    http://www.kraftfoodservice.ca/en/Products/Table+spreads.htm

If I am interpreting it correctly, it looks like each packet is 18grams (assuming that a bulk order would be 200 packets X 18 g)

That means that each little packet is 2 - 2.5 points. The points do add up quickly if you are having more than 1 packet a day.
