Thread: french toast points?

  1. Default french toast points?

My DH made french toast for breakfast and since I am new to WW
I'm not sure how many points to count.

2 slices french bread (3/4in think 2inch diameter)
    dipped in egg/skim milk

    cooked in pam

Can anyone make a good estimate for the points in this?

    thanks,
    Jennifer

I would say 3 Points. French bread is small and made basically from flour, water, and yeast, 2 Points for that, 1 Point for the part of the egg/milk mixture you used.

If the egg/milk mixture was 1 egg and 1/4 - 1/2 c. skim milk, it's 3 Points total, divided by however many servings. I would guess that would cover around 6 slices, that's why I said 1 Point for yours.

Good work! This is how we work our favorite things into the WW program.

Be careful about overestimating Points "to be safe." You can wind up under-eating that way. I know a lot of people do it but I don't think that makes it a good idea. Get as close as you can reasonably and you will be close enough.

That's good advice. I never thought about it that way but rather thought I was doing something "good" by overestimating. Maybe not!
