    Default Breakfast piglets

This is my husband and son's new favorite breakfast side. And at only 2 pts it is a great dish on the go.
    BREAKFAST PIGLETS
    2 pts per serving
    1 pkg biscuits ( 7.5 ounce size - 1 pt each) 10 each
1 pkg Brown and Serve lite sausage links (1 pt each - 10 each)
    1/4 cup shredded 2% cheese ( 2 pt)
Mrs Dash Garlic and herb seasoning

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Flatten out each biscuit to easily cover each sausage. Sprinkle Mrs. Dash Garlic and Onion (or other fave) on each biscuit. Place 1 teaspoon shredded cheese. (I used 2% shredded sharp cheddar and 2% cheddar jack), place link on each biscuit. Press up around each link and place on lightly sprayed baking sheet. If you allow to set for a few minutes the creases will come together. The point for the cheese is 2 per 1/4 cup or 12 per teaspoon, which is negligible per serving - if you eat more than one - I would at least count .5 - per serving/.

Do you cook it as long as they say to bake the biscuits on the package?

This looks yummy (and quick) and like a real "kid" pleaser!!

I'm taking time off this week to be with the boys who are off school, and it will be a fun breakfast to do with them ... thanks for posting it!

I tried these last week and they are YUMMY! I couldn't find the Brown & Serve "Lite" sausage links so I used some Healthy Choice turkey kielbasa and cut it into strips. They taste just like the little kolaches you get from the donut shop. Was so good I had to hide some from my DBF so there would be some left for me!

This may sound strange, but---do you cook the links first, or do they cook in the biscuit?

    Thanks

They cook while in the oven.

What a great idea! I made pigs in a blanket with lil' smokies & cresent rolls, but this sounds like a great alternative! THANKS!
