I'm new to WW. I would love to know what ready made products you buy. Have you found the lowest point yogurt or other items? Thanks for posting!

I just went back and re-read the responses. Darci - fabulous list! That's how you have gotten to where you are now. Great suggestions!!!

I second the cooking spray too! I didn't realize until this week that I can do so much with cooking spray - where I used to use oil or butter - it cuts out so much fat & calories!

Deb, there's not really a recipe. it's just a box of cake mix with a 15oz can of pumpkin. Some people add water to make it smoother but some don't. Nothing else, no eggs, no oil, just pumpkin and sometimes water if it's too thick. Bake according to package directions. Calculate points based on your mix. It can vary. I've only tried it with spice cake and it's been a long time but I know lots of buddies make this with different flavors. You also might like the Diet Coke Cake

Wow - I just read through a large portion of that post and holy cow do those all look so good. All the variations too!!

When I get to my mini goal (15 pounds) I may make one of those.

Thanks so much for that link - and sorry to hijack the thread!!!

Wow! This is a GREAT thread! I have gotten some really good ideas just from scanning everyone's list. Just in time for grocery shopping tomorrow.

I did want to add, just in case some of you haven't tried them, that the Smart Ones Double Fudge Cake (or something similar to that name) ROCKS! It's chocolate cake topped with a chocolate fudge sauce and topped with choclate shavings....YUM! I think they are 3pts each and they totally satisfy my PMS cravings! Just thought I'd share.

    For those interested.

    Chocolate Cupcakes
1 box dark choc cake mix (any brand)
1 small can solid pack pumpkin
    1 cup of water

mix all together and fill 24 cupcakes. bake 350 degrees F till done. Usually bake about 12-15 min in my oven. 2 points per cupcake. Very good.

I am not a big pumpkin lover. Can you taste the pumpkin flavor?

  16. #16

Default Re: what is on your grocery list?

I don't really think you can. I don't add water to mine and I use chocolate cake mix. The texture is pretty thick but that's the only real difference I can tell from a cake made the way it says on the box.

You do not taste the pumpkin at all using the dark chocolate cake mix. Pumpkin itself is really bland, what gives pumpkin the flavor are all the spices you add when you make something with pumpkin. I do use the water as it is easier to mix and easier to get the 24 cupcakes.

I actually post my shopping list on my website. It's helpful keeping things in stock for low point cooking and if I don't write it down I'd forget!
