Thread: The BEST tasting Lean Cuisines or Smart Ones?

  1. Default The BEST tasting Lean Cuisines or Smart Ones?

Anyone else out there need a break from cooking and head straight for the freezer aisle? I'm curious which Lean Cuisines or Smart Ones give the best flavor and meal satisfaction for their points content? There are so many to choose from! Of course, if another brand is more WW friendly, I'm open to suggestions! Thanks to all

I love frozen dinners if I were up to me I would eat them both for lunch and dinner but I have to watch out for the sodium

    lean cuisines
    chicken carbonara
    potatoes, broccoli and cheese
    etc
IMO lean cuisine has a better selection

I just found out that the lean cuisine has a web site that lets you search their meals by points! Anyway I had to look up the points for this one -4points -it's called Salmon with Basil. SO good. Plus it has 1.5 servings of veggies mixed in.

I bought that one last week but haven't had a chance to try it.

I like all the Panini's by Lean Cuisine. I don't care for the pasta dishes from Smart One's; the Lean Cuisine pastas are better. Maybe it's the difference in the sauce?

Lean Cuisine has the bagged meals with about 3.5 servings at about 4 points per serving. I tried the alfredo one and added a little garlic and seasonings and it was AMAZING. I also ate all the veggies out of it and less pasta, less points and makes sharing with an anti-veggies person easier.

I like Lean Cuisine's pizza pocket (Lean Pocket). I get the ultimate, which has sausage stuff and pepperoni thingys.

Smart Ones macaroni and cheese is very good and very filling. Nice LARGE serving.

I've just discovered Lean Cuisine Beef Portabello with mashed potatoes - 4 points and so tasty.

In general I prefer the Lean Cuisines over the Smart Ones, but will buy whichever ones are on sale.

Love the Lean Cuisine Sesame Chicken.

Forget dinner, have dessert!!!! Smartones have the best desserts ever. My favorites are the brownie sundae and chocolate fudge cake. They taste better than homemade stuff, seriously.

Smart Ones: I like most of the spaghetti/lasagne dishes, esp shrimp marinara for 3 points.

Lean Cuisinee: paninis, 3 cheese ravioli, margherita pizza

    Healthy Choice: chicken fet. alfredo

    Lean Pockets

I don't like the desserts at all and most of the rice dishes are not filling enough for me. I generally stick to pasta ones and prefer SO to LC. I have tried the mac and cheese and didln't like it at all and any mexican-type meal is not that great.

I usually get whatever is on sale (as cheap as $0.88 a piece) so I slide between Healthy Choice, Lean Michelinas and Lean Cuisine. SmartOnes has always been too expensive for me.

Fave Healthy Choice: (WW points on website)
    Cheesy Chicken and Rice
    Four Cheese Manicotti
    French Bread Pizza

Fave Lean Michelinas: (WW points on box)
    Maccaroni and Cheese
    Pepperoni Pizza
    Chicken Alfredo Florentine
    Sweedish Meatballs

Yes the sodium is high, but because I know that I will never take the time to home-make a lunch, I eat these everyday for lunch at work. It makes it so easy to stay OP! Good luck.
