Default non-syrup, low-point toppings for pancakes?

i hate syrup and i don't use butter on pancakes now that i'm on WW... anyone have any suggestions for toppings that would make them a little sweeter without adding a ton of points? i usually use fruit but i'd like to use something i could dip them in.

    Hello!

Well, I have swore off pancakes now that I'm trying to eat healthier..but how about applesauce on top? Just a suggestion..maybe french toast would be better because you could use reduced calorie bread? Another idea would be maybe a dollop of fat free whipped cream? Yum...that sounds good just thinking about it!

    Blueberry Topping

    1/2 c. Splenda
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/4 c. water
    juice of 1 lemon
    2 c. blueberries
    1/4 c. SF pancake syrup

In two quart microwave dish mix splenda, cornstarch, water, syrup, lemon juice and blueberries. Microwave on high five minutes, stirring after 2 1/2 minutes. Use over pancakes, cakes, low-fat ice cream, etc.

Serving size is 1/4 c. - 1 pt. per serving
I'm sure you could use other berries in this recipe also.
(I put it in the fridge and use a little on my toast. Makes a wonderful jam for 0 pts.)

i'm not a big dipper (my dh has to dip EVERYTHING) but I make my pancakes with bluberries in them, and I find that this makes up for it, and i don't need butter or sugar. maybe you could put bits of fruit in yours instead of dipping?

Put strawberries (or any fruit) in a bowl chopped up, and add splenda. Put it in the fridge for a while to let it get juicy. Get a frying pan and heat it up on medium heat. Add the fruit, a splash of water, and more splenda if you think you need it. As it heats up, the fruit will liquify more, but the natural sugar will make it syrupy. You can just drizzle that ontop. Measure it out correctly, and you have yummy pancakes AND a serving of fruit! If you don't use a whole serving of fruit, it will likely be less than 1 pt to use it. This takes a little bit of work, but if you are making pancakes anyway, it doesn't really add more time. It only takes 2 minutes.

I put frozen fruit (blueberries, strawberries, sliced peaches) in the microwave with a little splenda for my topping. I also "dry fry" (use a little spray) bananas and add Davinci SF syrup for a bananas foster topping.

I've always liked my pancakes sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar. You could substitute splenda for the sugar for a no point topping!

I made some *easy* sugar free freezer jam .. just mix fruit, splenda, bag of freezer jam pectin and freeze! It's really low in points and yummmmy!

Regular fruit (strawberries, bananas, blueberries) - whole or mushed up a little with some splenda and maybe with a little dab of FF coolwhip; canned crushed pineapple, mandarin oranges

Peanut butter - I used Better'n PB on my toast last night and it tasted pretty good!

Walden Farms (i think that's the brand) makes calorie free chocolate syrup/dip - i don't know how it tastes. I've always been afraid to buy it! But my oldest son loves the PB chips/choc chips mixed in his pancake batter .. i'd think that the Hershey's sugar free syrup or that Walden stuff would be pretty similar?

davinci makes a sugar free pancake syrup. it is not as thick as regular pancake syrup but it is very good. i use it to put in my oatmeal in the morning. it is a bottle exactly like the ones for their other sf syrups. i buy my on line at morningflavors.com. it is zero calories............

I use Smuckers sugar free jellies. They have strawberry and blackberry and are sweetened with splenda.

Boy there are some great suggestions! I usually just use pureed fruit but I may have to try some of these other ideas. Thanks.

Googled and found these (below), they are more like sauces so sounds like you can dip:

    Cherry Pancake Sauce

    Fluffly Rum Sauce

Mine are much less exciting. I use the Dole or store brand fruit cups in pineapple juice, their own juice or lite syrup and put them on my pancakes.
