    Default Boca Burgers

    Hi,

I don't normally take my points slider to the grocery store and don't want to buy these if they aren't less points than the frozen turkey burgers.

Does anyone know how many points for a Boca Burger?

Depends on the kind you get. Some are 1 point and others are 2. I think the original ones are 1point and well worth it. I am addicted to Boca. If you haven't tried the crumbles, chili, or lasagna they are great as well.

I tried the Chili the other day and was VERY impressed with it.

Has a nice little "bite" to it and really tastes like regular chili. The bowl I ate was only 2 points and it filled me up and kept me full most of the evening. ( I had it for dinner)

The turkey burgers I have been buying are 4 points per burger and I was looking for something less when I noticed they have Boca burgers too. After eating the chili, I'm looking forward to trying the burgers.

2 points for a burger is great..I'm there! Thanks!

I don't think I've ever seen the lasagna but I'm definately going to check out what other Boca stuff my grocery store carries.

Yeah most I have seen are 1 point. I personally prefer the original gardenburger, which is also 1 point.

Oh my gosh! I always take my slider to the store. Actually I carry it in my purse so it's always with me, . I have no problem pulling it out and calculating points when I'm at the store.

I think you need a couple TABLESPOONS before it counts as a point. I think 1 TBS is 15 calories. IMO a TBS of ketchup is alot for a burger. But I'm weird about my burgers.

I love ketchup! I like my burgers drowned in it.

Because I'm too stingy to waste the points, I've switched to mustard.

Please tell me that u dont have to count any points with mustard.

I guess I should go back and read my getting started book. I read it cover to cover last August when I joined WW but I have apparantly forgotten a lot of what I read.

You'd have to use 1/4 cup of catsup for it to count as a point. Personally I don't care for catsup (but love bar-be-que sauce so go figure) and I have always used mustard on burgers.

my squirt of ketsup is less than a teaspoon, so it doesn't count...I had a friend that when she started doing ww she never counted ketsup, and she DROWNS stuff in ketsup...man was she disappointed when she had to start counting it....

I like the flame grilled bocas (I think that's what they're called) for 1 pt. It seems to me, though, if you cook them too long, the inside gets a hard line through it.

Don't know about gardenburgers since I never tried them, but I seem to remember that they are made with mostly chopped mushrooms.

I bought the flame grilled boca burgers this week at the grocery store and had one today.

I was in a hurry, all I did was zap it in the MW for 1min and 20 secs, stuck it on some low calorie bread with a piece of ff cheese and some mustard.

It was delicious, WAY better than I thought and only 3 points for the whole thing.

    Can't beat that!

I LOVE Bocas. But you gotta watch with the one variety. When I first bought them (I was hungry for them, yet never had them...) I was having some troubles in the bathroom dept.... well not too long after eating that Boca... Yeah so it might help with that. But they are delish. And the Chik'n patties are good too. I just don't eat them now since they're not core. As I said "you wouldn't know its not chicken!" But those are 3 pts.
