Amen sister!!! Number one most important thing is positive self talk. It is so vitally important. When I focus on every mistake I make its just an excuse to sabotage myself. You are a true BCB. I am so encouraged by this blog. Thank you Fluffy

You are right, there is a lot of power in believing that you are able to achieve your goals.
What a neat idea! And visuals are great!

    Fluffy,

I have really seen the difference that thinking positive has made in my weight loss journey. It is that mental "click" that I believe that makes the difference between successfully losing the weight and keeping it off and being unsuccessful. However, I still have my moments! Thankfully, they are fewer and farther between than they used to be, and I have been very quick to put a stop to those negative thoughts! I know that there will be many challenges ahead, and that I won't always overcome those challenges the first time, but I do know that I am refusing to quit!

I am looking forward to sharing this journey with you and can't wait to celebrate both of us reaching our goals!

Trish, I love your attitude. Positive self talk is the key. I am going to be celebrating with you when you reach goal. This is your time and I'm excited for you. The struggling and stress is not uncommon. It's life on life's terms and we are learning one hour at a time, one day at a time to live a healthy lifestyle and make healthy choices. I am so glad we are on this journey together my friend. God bless.

I haven't gotten to that chapter yet, but I do understand feeling discouraged when the scale doesn't reflect our hard work, but it will eventually!

I think the article on the scale in that book is probably one of the best parts. I wish I could say it doesn't affect me but I do feel discouraged when the scale doesn't reflect the hard work I put forth. However, your blog is testimony to that. The scale had to surrender because you will never give up. Thank you for sharing such a wonderful post. Fluffy

Shelli, Don't be discouraged, celebrate everything that went right! And sometimes it may not even be one day at a time, but one step! You can do this!

    RocksAnn,

So glad to hear that you are celebrating all the positive changes you are making! Congrats on the 16.1 lbs lost!

Remember, as long as we don't quit, we can't fail!

I don't beat myself up for a gain anymore either. It's a lifestyle change and that means for life and life has ups and downs....literally! I'm doing much better being back to work after a long term of unemployment. I did start back on the treadmill back in October, but quit after starting my job 4 weeks ago. My job is very physical and it is exhausting after a hard day. Once I get back in the swing of working again I will get back on the treadmill or go for my nature walks when it gets warmer. Right now I'm on 1st shift but, that will change to 2nd or 3rd after I get hired permanently. I'm a temp right now from a temp service. I prefer to workout before work and not after. For some reason I can't sleep at night if I workout too late, gives me energy, I suppose. My loss has been slow just 16.1 lbs. lost in 24 weeks but, I'm happy with that. Slow is better they say.
~I am celebrating my changes I've made for the good to myself.
~I'm celebrating your celebrations for yourself as well. Great work! We can do it! ;-)

Congratulations on your 0.8 pound loss Trish! You are an inspiration to me. I have always been a stress eater and compulsive overwater so weight loss in and of itself has always been a huge challenge for me. However, the idea, the philosophy, of living a healthy lifestyle and being good to myself by eating foods that are truly nourishing,is truly a gift to me. Your posts always reflect commitment. This motivates me to keep on keepin on. Thanks. Fluffy

Trish, wow! What a terrific choice you made. You chose the kisses over the bars and perhaps spared yourself a lot of misery. I got a lot of great ideas from this post on how you take stuff to work so you are better prepared. Thanks for the helpful tips. God bless. Fluffy

Thank you so much, Fluffy! I am really excited about the new 360 program....I have always known WW works, but have always struggled with dealing the emotions and stress that life throws your way. I orginally lost over 60 lbs with WW over a decade ago, but quit WW when I quit smoking and regained the weight and have been struggling the past 10 years to get the right attitude! I think I finally found it!

Wow, Trish, what a beautiful story of a journey from the darkness into the light. I,too, had lost a tremendous amount of weight on weight Watchers, but got complacent. Life has been a struggle ever since. You mentioned if you hadn't quit you would never have failed. I will hang on to that. You and I will both see goal and lifetime dear buddy. I know it.

Trish, congratulations on your terrific BCB attitude. Your focus is in the proper place. Always, when I'm under a lot of stress and life on life's terms deals a lot of heartaches , problems and miseries my way, I have always turned to negative things to cope, such as compulsive eatIng and shopping. With our new 360 focus we have tools at hand to change these unhealthy patterns. You have remained OP despite the horrible stress. Go for the goal girl! I'm cheering you on! Fluffy
