Hello ladies,

DJ We missed you and I'm sorry to hear you've been stressed out. I hope you have a better week.

Kipper Great job on not going on a binge yesterday. Hopefully you didn't do much damage with the cake.

Kristen WTG on such a great start with your monthly exercise plan.

Hi Maureen I hope you're having a good day.

My day was good. I was down .6 this week at w/i. It's not much but I'm hoping for a bigger loss next week. I'm just so happy that I'm entering my 7th week of being POP. Hopefully by summer, I'll be in a size 12.

I got in a 45 minute walk today. I can't believe how fast these weeks are going by.

Have a great evening everyone.

I got back on track today. This morning, I did FIRM Rock It Off on the Wave and burned 327 calories. I'm planning to do a 1.5 mile run tomorrow and some core work.

Eats were pretty good today. I did have one too many Milk Duds at my department meeting but I tracked it and kept it moving. Got in 4 servings of fruits and veggies today but I will definitely get in 5 tomorrow.

Kipper - Good job on avoiding a complete binge. Sometimes it's these small victories which keep us going.

Kristen - Sometimes we just have days when we just don't feel like exercising so it was good that you redeemed yourself by getting back on track. Keep up the good work.

Sheila - Good job on the 0.6. Hey, at least it's moving in the right direction. Which new FIRM workouts did you get? I own just about all of them

Hi all,

Glad you are able to move again today, DJ

Well done on that .6 loss, Sheila, it's all progress towards Onederland

Kristen, glad you had a better exercise session.

Better day food-wise yesterday - if I hadn't already used all of this week's WPA's, that one could have counted as OP......... 4491 steps and a little core exercise.

hello, ladies. thank goodness it is almost friday! i'm so ready for a couple days of work! i have zumba tonight, gym tomorrow and zumba saturday. i'm going to try to hit the gym on sunday too. we'll see how that works. it seems like all i want to do is sleep the day away! so sleepy today!

sheila: congrats on the loss. it is a step closer to onderland! we are all so proud of you being POP! that's so awesome. keep it up. you are making things happen. i feel like the scale numbers are going down for me, but i don't feel like i'm losing inches. my clothes do not seem to fit any loser and (that i can wear now) and the ones i can't that i'm trying to get back into do not seem any closer to fitting. i'm not getting discouraged though. well, it is disappointing, but i'm not giving up! you are great OP inspiration!

dj: we are so glad to have you back! and glad to hear you are back on track! don't worry about the duds, work them off. you seem to have a readlly good handle on things again and it will pay off.

kipper: you are so close to getting back 100% op! keep it up! and it will happen. you are moving and that counts for a lot. we are here cheering for you.

maureen: girlie! where are you? we all hope you are hanging in there and are ready for a good loss saturday!

op vibes to all!

Hello ladies,

Thanks for all your nice words. I hope I can keep this momentum going. I'm trying to keep it interesting and exciting by trying new recipes and new workouts.

DJ I got the FIRM Balance Trainer with Skills, Drills & Thrills, The Power Half Hour with Emily & the new Dance workout with Allison. I also have the dance one with Allie but I don't really care for that one so I was a little hesitate to buy the new one but I really like it. How do you like the Wave? I saw it in Walmart for $57.00 and was tempted to get it.

Kipper Glad to hear that you had a better day foodwise. I hope tomorrow is even better for you.

Kristen Hang in there and don't get discouraged. Maybe you need to add more toning & sculpting to your workouts. When I do the FIRM, I tend to lose lots of inches.

How's it going Maureen?

I've had another good OP day. I'm still aiming for onederland by 1/1/2010. If I can keep my momentum going I know I'll make it.

Quick check-in with a 1-mile jog and the Burn, Shape and Tone premix from FIRM Cardio Core Fusion done. I am making dinner while preparing for an interview for a book chapter I am working on.

Have a good one,

Hello ladies:

I am here! Somehow my work computer lost my logon name and I couldn't remember what it was exactly....then i was at a meeting all day on Wednesday and yesterday I put in a request for my logon but forgot to go to my email to find what it was...now I'm back!! I did just "ok" Tuesday and Wednesday eating but walked 5 mile per day average...but yesterday I felt terrible with a headache all day and used a lot of bonus/AP points and didn't walk. I'm feeling better today and hopefully am back on track. Even if I don't lose again this week I don't think I will gain anything.

DH and I have been planning to go out to dinner Saturday but that's ok, it's been a while since we've been out for a nice dinner.

It sounds like everyone is doing great, keep up the good work!

Mo

TGIF! about time! zumba was great last night. it really kicked my butt. i'll be hitting the gym tonight and zumba again tomorrow. that will be 6 days of working out this week and 6 down out of 20. i really think i will make my exercise goal again. i'm feeling bloated and i have the munchies. TOM starts next week which worries me a bit for weigh in, but i'll take whatever and move on. i so want a loss though!

sheila: i really think you hit the nail on teh head. i am really bad about toning and sculpting. i mostly just do cardio so much, that i feel like i never have time. but i really do need to make it a priority. i really, really need to learn more about this firm. it seems like everyone is talking about it. is there a website where i can learn all about it? is it like a system that is costly but you get a lot? any info would be appreciated! also, is all you do the firm or do you hit the gym too? i have no doubt in my mind that you will hit onderland by the 1st of the year.

dj: good for you! you are moving along! keep us posted on your next weigh in!

maureen: good to see you back! as you know, you can go out to a nice dinner and still be op. just limit the bread and try to limit the alcohol. i think you'll have a loss come saturday! good luck!

kipper: i hope you are getting closer to being 100% op!

have a great weekend, ladies! op all the way!

Hello Ladies,

Just a quick pop in to say hi. I've had a good OP day. Got in some walking and was able to fit a pair jeans I hadn't worn in over a year.

Kristin you can check out the FIRM at www.firmdirect.com. Walmart have some of thir latest workouts. You can also find them on www.deepdiscount.com or www.buy.com or or ebay.

Have a great OP weekend everyone.

Hello ladies:

Sheila, great job on getting into those jeans!!
Kristen, you are a Zumba Queen, great work!
Kipper, keep up the good work and get those steps in!
DJ, great job on the exercising!

I finally lost 1.4....not in Onederland yet and probably not next week but definitely the week after....I ate really bad this week and missed the last two nights walking. I'll try to eat better and kick up the exercise a notch and hopefully won't gain next week then the week after hopefully I'll cross over the line???

I did eat pancakes this morning but only had two and used smart balance instead of butter. I'll try to have just fruit and protein for lunch today and then eat semi-sensibly tonight....the place we're going I always get lobster bisque and stuffed shrimp casserole?????? Maybe I'll skip the bisque and just taste hubbys....but I don't know if I can pass up the casserole although it is loaded with butter....I can feel my stomach ache already! I'll let you know how I made out.

I'm off to do some house cleaning and then maybe help with the leaves. I'm going to try to get a walk in too before dark today!

Oh, I was able to snatch up 2 of the $298 HP laptops at Walmart this morning before my weigh in!

Hi Maureen

CONGRATS on your loss this week. I hope you have a great week with eating and your walking. Enjoy your dinner tonight and let us know how you made out.

I wish I'd heard about the laptop sale at Walmart because I am in the market for one. I'll just have to keep on the lookout. Hopefully, they'll have another sale before black Friday.

I had a good day, I did a FIRM workout first thing this morning and I ate very good. I hope everyone else is doing good today.

Maureen - Nice job on the weight loss this week. Enjoy your meal tonight!

Kristen - Good luck with your workout goal. I have been doing FIRM DVD's since 1990 because they combine weight training and cardio in a single workout. I prefer weight training to cardio but the FIRM allows me to knock out 2 birds with one stone.

Sheila - I love the dance workout with Allison. I was pleasantly surprised that a dance workout could make me sweat that much and still be fun. I don't have the balance trainer workout nor Emily's Power Hour one. At this point, I'm not sure I'll get those because the reviews were only so-so.

Hi Kipper

The last three days have been rough. My car lost power and died on the freeway, in the middle of rush-hour traffic on Friday. Turns out the entire fuel distributor was busted and I'm out $600 (most of which I was going to use for Christmas). Then we had a city-wide blackout last night which messed up our garage door opener and now we have a call in to the home warranty folks. So needless to say, exercise has not been a priority. I have been tracking but my food choices haven't been exactly stellar.

Hope all of you are having a good weekend,
DJ

Hi ladies!

Sorry I haven't been posting last few days, we had a 3-day conference at church and I was helping with the signing - wound up totally exhausted by last night! Was not overly happy when the people in the flat upstairs from me got up at 5:45am and had showers etc. - I was planning on sleeping a bit LATER than usual, not waking up early! Hey ho......

Food was a bit mixed, some meals I did well, others not so good...... No closer to 100% but probably no further away either, now to knuckle down this week and get things moving..... Not much time for exercise over the weekend, did get out for a short walk Saturday lunch time. Thursday 3610 steps, Friday 1565 steps , Saturday 5113 steps and Sunday 3396 steps.

Maureen, glad those scales finally decided to give in and register the loss you've worked so hard for

Sheila, getting in those jeans sounds great - nice concrete proof of progress

DJ, sorry to hear about your tribulations. Is the car in working order now? Hope you get the garage fixed quickly.

Kristen, you're well on target for your exercise goal

hello, ladies. monday again!

i gained .8 this week. i don't understand why. i stayed in points, had all my water, and exercised 6 days. i was pretty disappointed. TOM does start these week, but feeling t.o.'d, i had pizza yesterday. 4 pieces (31 points!) with that being said, my 35 did start over yesterday and i do get 25 a day, so, after pizza and wanting to eat everything in sight, my point total was 43.5. so, i used 18.5 of my weekly already. but, at least i'm still within my points and vow to continue to stay op this week too. i really wish i wouldn't turn to food when i'm down, especially after a small gain. ugh. moving on!

sheila: thanks a lot for the info. i will be checking that out today. it just seems like there is so much to choose from, it gets a bit overwhelming. sounds like you are still moving along strong! so glad to hear that! can't wait to hear your loss this week!

maureen: GREAT JOB! we are all so excited and proud! you are that much closer. so close! just stick to plan and you will be there 2 weeks, tops! yay!

dj: you poor thing! i am so sorry to hear about all these bad things. i really, really hope things turn around for you and FAST! at least you are tracking. that is a huge deal. the exercise will come back. just try to keep the food under control. good luck!!!

kipper: you may not be closer, but you said yourself you aren't any farther away either. just keep it up and try to make improvements daily. and you are still getting a lot of steps in! that's a plus. you will get everything back on track soon.

i hope you ladies have a great op start to the week and i hope you have a great op week!

Hello ladies:

Kristen, I don't blame you for getting ticked off, but you have been doing fantastic, it's probably TOM, DON'T eat your anger away like I did!

DJ: sorry to hear about the car and garage door troubles, I hope they're both fixed.

Kipper: were you signing or singing at church? I got an early wake up myself yesterday. DH said Saturday night "why don't you sleep in tomorrow" then he woke me up by starting the lawn mower right beneath my bed in the garage Sunday morning.

Sheila: I found out about the sale through my sister who in turn found out through www.blackfridayads.com they mail her the specials in advance. They even had x-box for $199 and gave you back a $100 giftcard!

I did ok at dinner, I had one beer and a chicken dish w/ veggies as my side dish and I split a piece of cheesecake w/ DH that I was sorry for because it was awful.

I got 3.5 miles in yesterday, our weather has been terrific for this time of year.

Have a great OP day ladies and Kristen, don't be bummed out, maybe take a day off from exercise and pamper yourself...if the scale doesn't reward you this week, reward yourself (but not with food)! How come it's easier to give advice than take it!

Hi all!

Kristen, I'd guess TOM is the culprit for that gain - that pizza may have used more points than you would wish but you can still do it - go for it!

Maureen, yep, I did mean signing not singing, we have 1 Deaf and 2 hearing impaired members at church. The Deaf lady wasn't at the conference, but the other 2 ladies were, so we provided signed support for them. We got off lighter than we might have done - one of the speakers was really clear and they could cope with him using just the induction loop. The other speaker was a nightmare - spoke at the speed of an express train with a strong German accent. Very funny, but difficult to sign it when you are struggling to understand yourself!

Commiserations regarding the mower - I take it DH wasn't your favourite person at the time?! Sorry about that cheesecake - I hate it when you use points for something and it just isn't worth it.

DJ hope you had a happier day yesterday with some good things happening to you!

Sheila, hope life is being good to you too and you are enjoying those new workouts.

Well I've learnt one thing - I do NOT make good food choices when I am very tired. If I do something again where I know I will be exhausted the day after, I must prepare my meals for that day in advance as well, so I can just grab them........... did ok on exercise yesterday (5444 steps) but not on food - grabbed for bread because it was quick, not a good move, it sets off the cravings.

Today is a new day, aiming to make the most of it.

Hi ladies:

Kipper, that's funny because a friend of mine also signs at her church and I thought it was too much of a coincidence! She didn't learn till she was in her late 40's but she's progressed well enough that last year she signed for a play production her church does usually around the holidays. You are two special people

I only walked 3.5 miles total yesterday but I did go grocery shopping and to Target after work and then made a big pot of soup when I got home....didn't finish till 11 pm and got to bed a midnight....why can't I hit lotto and be a SAHM??!! DH is actually the one who didn't want to walk but he cleaned out the garage freezer and fridge for me which was on my to do list for the week.

Everyone have a great OP day, I'm off tomorrow for Veteran's Day.....yippee!!!!

(13 weeks from this Sunday is Valentine's Day, I think I'm going to give myself a challenge incorporating my "sweetHEART RATE", I'm going to look into buying a heart rate monitor today).

hello, ladies! biggest loser tonight! heck yea! i'll be at the gym, on a machine watching the first full hour!

THANKS for the support and advice, ladies. it is so much easier to dish out than take. but, i'm taking it all in and trying to love through this, op style! i've done really well staying at my daily points monday and tuesday, so i still have almost half of my weekly. i think i'm in good shape. i'm hoping that TOM doesn't make me have a gain again. i'll take what i get and fight for a loss!

maureen: sounds like a pretty good dinner. and you kept control. that is key! awesome! too bad the cake wasn't worth it. i hate it when that happens! walking is walking which is exercise. it all adds up and counts! good for you for doing what you could! soup sounds goood right now. a big pot of chili, actually! let us know how the heart rate search goes! i thought about looking into them.

kipper: no worries on the slack. you know what triggers and now you can try to limit yourself. i hope today has been a better day for you. you can do it!

sheila: hope to hear a check in from you soon! i'm sure you are op and kicking it!

dj: hope you check in soon too! and i hope everything is brighter for you now!

i hope everyone has had an OP day and an OP day tomorrow, too!

Hello ladies,

Just a quick check in tonight. I've been super busy and haven't been able to check in. I've done very good yesterday and today. Eating right feels natural now. I am really enjoying being OP and I don't plan to fall off the wagon this time. I'm already mental rehearsing how I will stay OP when I'm on the cruise in Dec. I am not going to let anything stop me from reaching my goal this time.

Have a great evening ladies, it's time to go watch the Biggest Loser.

Kipper - Before this week from hell, I started prepping meals on Sundays. I go to the .99 cent store and buy Gladware containers and then I make 5-6 servings of a dish. For instance, I made a 5 point skillet beef stroganoff with whole wheat pasta. After I finish the main dish, I pour about 1/2-3/4 of frozen vegetables into the container to freeze and then heat up as a complete meal. I will definitely be cooking for the rest of the week tomorrow.

Kristen - Just keep doing what you're doing and the weight will come off. Remember, you can use a no-weigh-in pass if you feel you might experience a TOM-related gain.

Maureen - A 3.5 mile walk sounds great to me. I'm off work tomorrow too and I'm happier than a pig in shite I normally have a 12 hour workday on Wednesdays.

Sheila - That's great that being OP feels natural to you. I hope to be like you when I grow up

Well, I'm down 0.6 this week and I'll take it. My exercise was sporadic and I made horrible choices due in part to money stress with the car repairs. I'm just glad I didn't gain this week. The garage door repair folks came out but didn't have the right parts so we have to wait until Friday to get the thing fixed. I did get my car back and it seems okay. I'm just glad this week is behind me now.

DJ, good news on that loss - you are getting steadily closer to Onederland

Sheila, your consistency is great!

Kristen, nice one sticking to daily points 2 days - puts you in a much better place over the week so far

Maureen, I started early 30s which they tell you is way too late to start learning to sign, but I had a go anyway. I don't work in that field, just use it on a voluntary basis, but I really enjoy it. My friend started learning at 49, similar to your friend - she wanted to do it as a job and several colleges wouldn't train her because she was too old. Fortunately one tutor looked at her and saw she had potential and she has been a qualified Communication Support Worker for the last 18 years - age does NOT have to be a barrier if you have the aptitude and are willing to go for it!

Yesterday was not too bad food-wise and I did 4262 steps. Doing well so far today - visiting my Dad this evening but he's planning a salad meal so I should be ok there.

Afternoon Ladies,

Kipper I'm glad you had a better day yesterday and I hope you did okay today. Enjoy your visit with your Dad.

DJ Congrats on your loss this week. We are all inching on down to onederland.

Kristen I'm so ready to cross into onederland too. I'm trying to be patient and hope that I make it before the end of the year. This year I'll be going to Key West, Grand Cayman Island & Ocho Rios, Jamaica. I will be getting in lots of activity for sure.
Talking about the BL Did they show Shay's after results? I don't remember seeing it. I was also sad after last night's show.

Hi Maureen I hope you're having a good day.

I've had a very good day. I did the FIRMs Cardio Dance with Allison. Whew wat a major cardio workout. I was down 2.6 this week at W/I for a total of 15.8. I'm at 209 now and getting oh so close to onederland. This time I am so excited about the program so my leader told me today that once I reach my goal wt, I should consider working for WW because of my enthisiasm. I don't think I'd want to be a leader but maybe a receptionist. We'll see once I reach my goal.

Have a great evening ladies.

sheila: that is fantastic! congrats on the big loss! it is smooth sailing into onderland for you my friend! you will totally make it by your goal date! and i agree on the receptionist thing. i don't know if i could be a leader. eek.

they did not show her! but, the jay leno show (which comes on right after BL) has each person kicked off on his show the same night. i just record it to fastforward it to that part. he had both daniel and shay on. both looked great! shay has lost 150 lbs!

and - i'm going to buy the firm. i'm excited!
