Tanya and Lisa, Good Morning!

Sorry that I was MIA yesterday, we left in early in the morning to take our foster greyhound to Nebraska to be adopted and didn't make it home until last night and then we had company over for dinner. They stayed much later than I expected and I just rolled out of bed a few minutes ago. Still not near enough sleep but it's going to have to do.

Troy and I are headed to Denver in a few hours to visit some friends and then to a hockey game (yay!) so we won't be home until later tonight. I really want to try to get to the gym this morning but I'm not sure if I can get it in or not. I need to get laundry done, get the fridge cleaned out and get some food prepped for this next week. I'm planning on making some curry chicken salad and some whole wheat orzo with white beans, cranberries and chopped apples to have for lunches/quick meals. I also want to get some meatballs made up ahead of time so that dinner tomorrow night can be quick and easy. We'll see how successful I am at all of that in the next two hours..lol

Lara, right back at 'cha!! You'll never get all that done in 2 hours, and if you do, you'll be exhausted, so just try and enjoy your day! I did get the soup made last night, and we had a great meal with the requested kielbassa! Funny, but the men have no idea that they're eating "lightly", lol. I never buy the full fat stuff anymore, and I actually don't like the taste of the full fat stuff. I don't know if you knew it or not, but I just adopted 2 barncats-the male is very nice and friendly, but the female, I haven't seen since she was put in the garage....I have to take them to the vet on Tuesday, so I hope I can find her. Mack is still "adjusting" to having a piece of prey in our garage.....he's driving me a bit crazy, but I refuse to give in to the little bugger. The cats need to stay to manage the country mice situation. Especially if there's going to be a wedding at my house next fall!!

Lisa, can't wait to see pics of your new kitchen! Nothing like a new coat of paint to make a place look fresh and inviting. Kudos to you on going back to WW. We all can't let Rhonda look good all alone!!

Tanya, girl, no wonder you are sick. How can you just keep on going, going, going?? Too bad about the lack of customers yesterday. HOpe you have fun in NYC today, and hope the show is a great one. I can't rmemeber what show you're seeing. What recipe do you use for the white chicken chili? I've never made it, and this winter I'm going to! I printed out Lara's recipe, so I'd be intersted to see how yours compares.

Lisa, good for you going back to WW. You have a really busy schedule so you'll have to make that your time only. Can't wait to see the kitchen. There's so much I want to do with mine like reface the cupboards, new back splash, ceiling tins and floor. Hopefully I'll be able to do stuff like that again! A friend and I totally gutted the bathroom about 9 yrs ago. I miss doing stuff like that.

I also miss working in my yard. I haven't been able to get on my knees for 3 summers now. Nick does my planting but it's not the same. Theres alot of landscaping I want to do too. See I've wanted to do all these things but physically haven't been able. It's going to be so much fun when I can!

Am on day 5 of liquid fast. 9 more days seems like an eternity! Yesterday I sent Nikc to the Chinese place and had him get me a large egg drop and hot n sour soup. Then I straind them thru several layers of cheese cloth and thru out the veggies and egg. Oh boy let me tell you, that was a Treat!

Rhonda, I'm not real sure about that plant-I wish I had purchased that plant, but I really didn't have a place for it at the time. Hopefully, they'll have them next time! I thought they were so cool-they have pink and white ones too like that. I just can't remember the name of that plant-it might come to me later though. Good luck on your fast-I don't think I could do that. I'm such a wimp. However, if I had plans like you have, I would have to summon the strength to just DO IT. Just like I've done to lose weight over the past 3 years......

Lisa, looking great!! I didn't realize that you'd also tiled the backsplash. Good job, and I'll bet you got great APs.

Moving right along here. Almost 2 pm, and this idiot doctor can go home. HE is part of what's wrong with healthcare now a days. Not every friggin' person needs bloodwork.....at least it's given me something to do, but those people are all going to have lovely ER bills. Of course, most of them should not even be here! It'll never be fixed-you can't fix stupid first of all, and you also can't educate ignorant. Some people just wouldn't listen anyway. Back to work.

Nancy, you are right, can't fix stupid. Sorry you have such a doc on today with you.
We are going to Belize, honduras and Mexico. Been to all three places, so probably won't do a tour. Just get off and do a bunch of walking in Belize and Honduras. Mexico, we just will stay on board for the day.

Rhonda, don't know what those ititials mean, but guess it it gastric bypass? Good luck, I have heard it is very hard to get thru.

Esther, your cruise sounds fabulous.

It is only 7 but I already have my nightie on, and am contemplating the couch seriously. I not only got dressed today, but I cooked a roast in the pressure cooker, cleaned the kitchen, and took a walk outside (not my usual workout by any means, but at least I got outside and moved around). Now I am exhausted. My throat is still a little sore, but much better.

hi there. just checking in. just got back from NY. we had an AWESOME time. the place we went for lunch was very cool. its all people that can sing trying to get on to broadway. they had a rotation of 15 wait staff that was singing when we went. it was pricey though but very entertaining. our seats for mama mia were great! 12th row center stage. and ready for this - face value (keep in mind we got these for free) $116.50 EACH!!!!!!!! SCORE!!!! play was awesome and hubby even admitted he had a great time. im so glad we went. we took his shop camera again so im at the mercy of him downloading them! we did broadway but thats about it. did stop in the hershey store and the M&M store. got a hat at the M&M store. got some cool pics in the hershey store but i wont spoil them. hehe. didnt walk NY like i do w/mom ok ive been sneezing all day and now throat is getting sore. still a bit stuffy. im off to bed early but i just noticed its 10 already so thats not really that early! i should sleep great tonight!!
