I have gotten a lot done in the kitchen. Baked oatmeal muffins are done, a pot of my chili done, DH made some regular chili and mashed potato pie, my steel cut oats are done, I have turkey tenderlions in the crock pot, potatoes are baking and I am ready to throw lunch in the oven.
Time for a break.

My plan is to remain OP all day.

I am going to make the Vegetarian Chili today because I have all the ingredients for that. The other will come another day. They both sound wonderful! After that, I'll make a large pot of steel-cut oats.

DH & I have been doing a few chores.

Oh, have you ever wondered who gets chosen for the Nielsen Ratings for TV? Ta-da! We are a Nielsen family this week. I am logging every program we watch and making sure to watch my favorites to add to their ratings.

Trudie, you are a cooking machine today! How smart of you to get so much ready in advance for the work week.

Denise, I'm going to try that chili just as soon as I have all the ingredients. I avoid the grocery store on Sundays if at all possible.

Everyone have a wonderful Sunday!

Ok, wasn't completely OP last night. Had a wonderful time at our card party. I don't think I will have done to much damaage with the weight. Went to church, visited Mary, came home, had lunch and walked to the very back of the farm with our dog and back. We have 60 hilly acres. I am worn out.

Deedee... sounds like you are doing great.

Trudie... I suppose that you must cook ahead when you work. Sounds like you will have your work week under control.

Denise... unfortunately, my friend made a favorite cake of mine. One I would never make do to a control issue. The good thing is that I wouldn't let her leave the leftovers here. It is made on a cookie sheet. It is a very large cake. It is out of here now and I will be fine getting back OP. It was the first sweet thing I have had in two weeks. Was on a sugar high last night.

Hello to all,
Clara

Trudie, I was thinking about that lentil chili recipe just last night! I used to make it ALL the time...time to do it again, me thinks!

I went for a 6 mile walk outside, today. Amazing weather we're having. I'm sure by tomorrow, it'll be cold again I, seriously, would take THIS weather all year round

Good Evening!

Just wanted to let you guys know that we're all safely home. We got stuck for well over two hours getting through the toll booth, bridge and customs at the border. It was excruciating after driving over 800km to just sit there for hours and wait!! It was pitch dark on the way home so that made the fatigue set in. I've got everything all unpacked and the laundry started. I look forward to using my new pressure cooker and VitaMix in the next couple of days!

Tomorrow morning I'm off early with my buddy to take her to the hospital for testing/biopsy. We will likely go for a run, have some lunch, maybe watch "13 Going On 30" that I taped last night. We both love that movie! Tomorrow will be all about spending time with her but I hope to pop in later in the day to check in here. Claire has volleyball and the boys have soccer so I should have some time in between carpool!!

Have a great OP day tomorrow buddies!
