Sofi - My cooking son is almost 13. Mind you - he rarely eats - but he loves to cook.
I am in a dinner group M-F. Which means that I cook dinner for my family as well as 4 other families on Monday. Then Tuesday - Friday I have a meal delivered to my door by the other families in the group. This is FANTASTIC for a family but I have to be careful. One of the ladies used to cook for Olive Garden and her meals are to die for BUT calorific! I usually guess on points and have a big salad.

I feel really good about today.

I ended it on plan. Got in a workout which made me feel extremely motivated the rest of the evening! And DH and I just spent an hour and a 1/2 playing Wii Sports. I just feel like I've been so active tonight compared to most.

I also ended today OP.

I just feel GOOD.

How did your days end ladies?

Donna - that's neat that you do that with the dinners! Do you ever get anything you really just can't eat? How did you become a part of the dinner swap?

Good morning buddies,

I ended yesterday OP, I had to take MIL to a dr's appt, so it was a little crazy last night, but I did get a chance to use my pressure cooker to make some goulash and it came out pretty good

Jenn- Way to go on finding motivation to exercise! That is great! What's your plan for today?

Donna- The dinner group sounds like a neat idea, do you have to pay anything? Is it always the same group of people? What type of dinners do you usually make?

Breakfast

toast-2
PB-2
banana-1

Lunch

goulash-4
meatloaf sandwich-6

Snacks

apple-1
rice cakes-2

Dinner

9 points left

will find a recipe for the pressure cooker w/chicken

Have a great day everyone!!

So today is the day I have been dreading all week. After work I have my yearly gyno exam. UGH. Here's to hoping it goes well and she doesn't make me feel uncomfortable or give me crap about being over weight. I know that I can tell her about WW (I've been in the exact same position in the past) but the last doctor acted like it must not be working if I'm still "fat."

I just may have to celebrate once that appointment is over. Not sure how, but I think a celebration is in store, with how much I've been worry about this all week! LOL A non food celebration OF COURSE. The only "food celebration" I can have is Subway and I'm starting to get sick of that place...lol

So here's to hoping today is a good day...

*edit* here we go again Sofi....LOL

Donna - DO NOT TURN TO FOOD!!! I know how that can be. That's what I always want to resort to when I have problems with life - which is exactly why I am where I am right now. If you are going to turn to chocolate - allow your self one piece. Just keep it under control and count it! I'm sorry you're having so many problems today.......It seems like problems always follow each other, doesn't it??

I'm off to the gyno.........*rolls eyes* lol

Donna- Sorry to hear that you are having a bad day, maybe you could treat yourself to some private time later? a nice bubble bath? or a small walk? We all know that food is not the answer, it's so easy to associate certain foods with feelings or memories, but we have to resist, you can do this buddy! I am proud of you for coming and posting instead of turning to chocolate, hang in there....

Jenn- The most important thing to remember is that we are learning from our mistakes, and that we are slowly adapting to a better, healthier lifestyle. btw: What is your plan for dinner since DH is working late?

I am debating about what to do for dinner tonight, DD's school has Burger King night so I will probably be taking her there to pick up something, but I don't want to waste my points on food porn and end up hungry later on.....I am not going to be munching on the kiddies food porn, I will have gum in my pocket before I go and will pop it in my mouth once I get in the car. No junk for me tonight, I know I can do this, especially with the support of such great buddies I will probably heat up the last of the applesauce meatloaf and make a sandwich and heat up some veggies.

I will be back later.....

Hey guys - I am fine - didn't eat any chocolate cake although I did pour a little extra salad dressing on the salad today for lunch and I even counted all those points Had a big lunch with hubby (after we dropped his car off at the dealership) so I am planning on a small dinner tonight and I have points saved for a cup of hot cocoa while I watch Gray's Anatomy tonight - I should also do those sit ups while I watch TV...hmmmm...that's a plan

Jenn did you reward yourself with something good after the Gyno?

Sofi how did your dinner go? The meatloaf sounds like it will make a great sandwich - yumm!

I SURVIVED. Barely though...gosh I had to wait almost 2 hours to see the doctor!!! Then when I saw her, I literally saw her for 5 minutes. I will say the doctor was very nice.

So after surviving my appointment I went to Rite Aid for more 50cent Kashi cereal AND THEN I treated myself to TARGET HALLOWEEN CLEARANCE and MY FAVORITE SALAD AT APPLEBEES!!!! I got some of the cutest stuff at Target and dirt cheap. Everything was 75% off!! And I didn't get ANY candy.

Now I have A LOT to do. I'm going home this weekend and leaving right after work tomorrow. So tonight I need to get packed and have things together for the morning! I'm going to try to fit in a work out too!!

Donna - glad to hear you didn't go for the chocolate.

Sofi - what did you end up having for dinner?? I've always wanted to make a sandwich out of the applesauce meatloaf, but I make such small loafs that we end up finishing it for dinner!

I ended tonight OP and stayed away from the BK fried food porn, but did allow myself a few sip of DD's milkshake.

Jenn-that's great that you survived the gyno visit and too bad that you had to wait so long, I always hate waiting in those waiting rooms, so annoying

Please tell about the Rite Aid 50 cent Kashi cereal I wonder if it's the same price here....

Donna-Good job for staying away from the junk, have fun watching Grey's.

Have a good night everyone!

Tonight is ending well!!! I forgot to mention earlier that when I got on the digital scale at the doctor's office it had me lower than I was yesterday at WI AND this time I had clothes on, shoes on, and had just eaten lunch. Which leaves me to believe that as long as I have a good, OP weekend that I can have a nice loss this week.

Speaking of the weekend..I'm heading home for the weekend. I have a pretty good plan in my head!! I'm going to take my netbook with me this weekend, so I'll have internet access to post my menus as usual.

Sofi - WTG on resisting that food porn. The sips of milkshake are fine!! Did you remember to count them? As for the Kashi - This week Rite Aid has it on sale for $2.49. They have a 50cent off coupon right in their ad - making it $2.00 (which in itself is a great price for Kashi!) and then I had a bunch of $1.50 off coupons that I got from Vocalpoint. So I got 4 boxes of Kashi over the past week - 50 cents a piece!

Red face Re: Jenn is recommitting once and for all!

Hi Jenn, Karen, Sofi, and Donna!!!

I have been having a very OP week and have gotten in plenty of exercise too. I went to my six month check up at doctor yesterday. I have gained some weight since my last appt six months prior and was dreading the weigh in part. But I did not stress about it too much just got on the scale and of course I am up about 12 pounds from before but figured doctor is a busy man he will not say much about that. Hmmmm. I guess you can figure out what the first thing he commented on was. "put on some weight?" I was just so bummed after that comment, but I know it is true. Now the doctor is exploring possible reasons why I put this much weight on since last visit 6 months ago since I feel like I am retaining a lot of fluid now also. So off to the lab for blood work and a new prescription for my blood pressure meds to increase the dieuretic so I can get rid of extra fluid retention. The funny part, though, if I can laugh now about it, is that the fluid is mainly in my breast area and I explained this to the doctor who was looking at me with an odd look on his face. It is very uncomfortable and my breasts actually hurt when I get fluid retention there. He took a quick glance in that area and proceeded to write out the new prescription. I am hoping some of this extra weight is somewhat related to fluid retention and that this new med will take care of that. I know I have a hard time eating anything with a lot of sodium since I gained this weight. And I am always avoiding salty foods because I know I will have a large flucuation on the scale the next day. I am an every day weigher and I watch the scale every day mainly for this reason. I do not want to look at it one day out of seven and see the high number due to fluid retention. I look everyday and I know when I reflect back how much sodium I had the day before and I can account that to a gain. Most times when the scale is down is the days I have not eaten much sodium in cheese, meats, or soups, which are really bad to cause me to flucuate.

I am ready for another OP day tomorrow and then Saturday I am going to enjoy my WPA in moderation. Sunday back OP and I will and I am saying this in a very POSITIVE way, slide into Monday with an OP week-end behind me.

So I will be right here with everyone and we will make it through the week-end and be so proud of ourselves come Monday.

So after work today I'm heading home to visit my parents and my sister this weekend!! I can't wait. I know that it will be a bit of a challenge, because traveling always is, but I also know that I can make it through this.

I hopped on the scale this morning, hoping it would be encouragement to keep up the great work this weekend, and well I think our scale is broken. It has gone through 2 moves AND has to be taken out and put away every time we use it. The reason why I think it's broken or way off is because it was weighing me MORE than I was the doctor's office yesterday - WITH CLOTHES, SHOES, and HAVING JUST EATEN!! WTH?! ughh.. I won't let it get me down though.

I WILL have my netbook with me this weekend, so I WILL be checking in this weekend. Hope you ladies have a chance to check in too!!! Be on the look out for my menus.

Tami - I can tell you're ready for a great, OP weekend!! Please check in this weekend if you get a chance!

Wink Re: Jenn is recommitting once and for all!

Hi,

Just checking in to get my daily dose of inspiration or kick in the butt, whichever is deserving. LOL! I am ending this day totally OP and that is a great feeling. I have tomorrow planned out. I am going to be dipping into my WPA but I am not going to consider the day a free for all either. I have resorted to buying some of those little Weight Watcher ice-cream in a cup that are portioned out now. I think one of my bad habits is my ice-cream scooper likes to keep digging in the ice-cream and throwing itself at my mouth when I dip out a small portion.......but seriously I am in the "I Am Going To Do This Attitude" and I love it when I feel in control. You guys are the best buddies and I hope each of you are finding the end of the day to be totally OP also. Now we will take it one day at a time. I made it through today OP and I can just about bet my buddies have too. Tomorrow we will all make it OP!

Until next check in, enjoy the week-end!!!! Hugs!!!

Good morning !

I'm still at my parents. I've just been really busy and my computer has been acting up and annoying. So I haven't wanted to spend much time on it.

This weekend hasn't been as great as planned but it also hasn't been THAT bad. I need to remember everything I ate and try to figure out points and see if and how badly I messed up.

Friday was great through lunch. When I got home my mom had made pizza, so I had pizza instead of Subway.

Saturday I only ate 2 meals one was 2 hot dogs (I was craving sheetz hot dogs) and last night was Subway. I had a few small nibbles of things throughout the day - but I don't think it was THAT bad.

Now today I will probably eat a 3pt muffin before I leave and that's it. Not sure what DH will be working today, so i'll have to make a plan with him once I get there.

So overall, could have been worse. If I hadn't snacked at all, I'd be confident I didn't go over my points (because I had my 35 weekly pts left.) But we shall see.

Sofi & Tami - kuddos to you for checking in this weekend.

Donna - I know that weekends are rough. That's why we all need to get better about posting and sticking to plans. But it's tough...it really is.

Have a great day ladies!

Talking Re: Jenn is recommitting once and for all!

Hi Buddies!

I have been reading the posts and it appears that there has been an overall good OP week-end going on here for everybody. I made it OP Friday, and Saturday only used half of my WPA and none of my AP are used this week. Today I actually added 3 more AP by adding in an additional walk on the treadmill for the week. I usually just do 4 days at 45 minutes but I have added in a fifth day on Sunday which will be a challenge for me to continue, but I am determined to stick with this new exercise plan. I feel so much better when I get in my exercise and I figured what better way to boost my weight loss than to add some more movement in since it makes me feel so great. I know those first thoughts of exercising are not my favorite, but once I get going and about ten minutes into my walk I am starting to feel wonderful and energized again. Helps to relieve stress and tension too, so there is that added boost too if you are ever trying to tallk yourself out of getting in some exercise remember how great it makes you feel when you are done.

Hope everyone has had a great week-end. I am wondering where did it go actually. It seems like it was just Friday and I blink ****** and now it is SUNDAY!!!! Gosh, but I am ready for a new week and hope to hear good news from my buddies.

Tami

Good morning buddies! This weekend was okay, I used my flex points on Halloween junk but I stayed within my points. I am going to have a talk w/DD who doesn't eat any of her Halloween goodies anymore and maybe I can convince her to allow me to bring them to work so my co-workers can have them, once they are out of the house, the temptation is gone for me. Wednesday is Veteran's Day and both DH and I are off, plus DD is home from school. Maybe we can do something fun if DH isn't hunting....

Tami-Great job on gettting in some exercise!

Donna-How was ur weekend buddy?

Jenn-How did you do yesterday?

Breakfast

fage w/honey-4

Lunch

turkey w/swich thin-4
salad w/FF ranch-2

Snacks

apple-1
rice cakes-2

Dinner
