good morning

we had quite a few at our meeting last nite....not sure if it was enough or not....but I know there are more new members coming next week....hopefully it will be enough to buy us more time. I up up .2 at wi, so that really isn't so bad. I need to settle down, concentrate and get things done so the scale will move in the right direction.

I am up early, waiting for coffee and will spend 30 minutes on the gazelle. My meals are semi planned, so I need to finish that.

It will be a busy day and I have a photo shoot tonite. I always look forward to those.

Time to go and post the daily motivator :-)

Hi Buddies,
Whyizzit?... When I go to bed at 10, and read for just a bit, I can hardly haul my butt out of bed at 6:30 or 6:45. But last night, went to bed at 11, read till midnight, and I woke up at 5am, ready for my day. WTF?? When I do go to bed earlier, I generally wake up around 3am for a potty stop, and that's about the same length of time as midnight-5am. Must be a natural break in the sleep cycle. But am I shortchanging myself on sleep if I do that? When I go back to sleep, that's when I have trouble waking up again. Anyway, the upside to this is that I've been on the treadmill, I'm ready for work early, and I'm just finishing my steel cut oats/blueberries/walnuts (Yummo!).

Lisa, I'm glad there were a bunch of people at your meeting. I hope all your effort pays off!

Where the heck is everyone else? Don't make me send Sal after you! Come to think of it, I haven't seen her yet either!

Good morning y'all! I'm here! LOL Have already been up for 2 hrs. Got flowers for one of the girls at work, Joey to school, journalled for the day, having my oatmeal with walnuts, and have to put my lunch together.

Lisa-I'm so glad that your meeting went well! That's awesome!

Gracie-Some people don't need as much sleep. The more I get, the worse I feel, most of the time. When you are in perimenopause, you require less sleep, too.

Prayers, love, hugs and [[[[SV's]]]] to all in need. Have a great OP day, y'all!

Good morning, Y'all,
I feel alot less stressed today. I made a huge dent in my work and home to-do lists. I work much better under pressure because that is the way my job has been for 33 years. Assess, prioritize, complete and move to the next task on the list.
We have everything gathered and ready to pack, dog sitter lined up (dh's daughter is coming to stay at our house), cell phone changed to international plan.
We will still have some last minute stuff to do, but all is manageable. LOL
Lisa: My at work hasn't had the 15 needed to make and today will be my last try. I have gone three weeks and they are still 4 short.
Gracie: I don't think there is any way to reason how much sleep we require. I do think it all depends on how much restful sleep you get. Be careful lwith the bike.

Everyone have a great day.

Well, Don's dad is on the verge of dying, he's been on hospice for months, and it's finally here. We were there yesterday, and Don's brother and his family came, along with his aunts. Not unexpected, but still sad.

OP-wise, actually doing good. Too busy to eat I guess.

Our HS football team is in the playoffs--that will be exciting! Otherwise, business as usual.

Gracie--I need 8 hours most of the time, can get away with less, bot don't like to. I always wake at least once, and am a very light sleeper.

Sal--Your guys' oatmeal and walnuts sounds really tasty! Have a good day!

Lisa--Enjoy your shoot! I am getting Christmas cards with the kids and Tank done soon!

Cinna--Glad work is better--I too work best under pressure--i need a deadline.

see youse later!

Good morning! Struggling today with some cravings. I am posting and then leaving this house. I will go down to church and work.

Be back later in a better way I hope.

Have a great day

Hi Buddies,

I feel slightly "diet-headed" today because I'm trying to plan ahead for being out of town tomorrow and Friday but still show a loss on Saturday morning. There's no way to do that without being just a wee bit uptight and overly prepared. And that feels like dieting rather than living. Oh well - I know it's temporary and I do want it to pay off.

I'm away for work for a couple of days but DH is coming with me which will make it more fun. I normally take the train, buy some take-out food and spend the evening in my hotel room. This way, at least we can go out and enjoy ourselves a little.

I'll be back on Saturday. Have a good couple of days.

Millie

Hi everyone. I had meant to come and post earlier but the morning is slipping away very fast. I'm trying to be a little calmer about all the problems at work and although I wouldn't say I'm in a zen state yet, at least I'm not as hyper as yesterday. It's silly, I know, but whenever someone asks me a question I expect myself to know the answer or be able to find the answer within a short time. That's an impossible standard to keep up these days and while I shouldn't let it stress me this much it's a big part of my personality. I am journalling my feelings on a daily basis, usually just a couple of lines, but I am finding it helpful in not turning to food as an outlet.

Lisa: I hope you get enough members to keep your meeting going.
Gracie: I used to be such a good sleeper but not anymore. It's a good night if I only wake twice. Of course, it doesn't help that DH is a chronic snorer and I have to wear ear plugs every night just to muffle the sound.
Sal: Are you sure that in perimenopause you require less sleep, or do you just get less and adjust to it?
Cinna: I usually work better under pressure but these days it's ridiculous.
Em: I'm sorry to hear about Don's father. Even when expected it's still a hard thing to go through.
Karen: Stay strong against those cravings.
Millie: Enjoy your trip.

Well, break time is over and I need to get back to the grind. Take care everyone.
