Lesa - Boy, do I understand your woes with the height/weight thing. I'm 5' nothin, and according to eTools, my goal weight is 103! HAH!! According to the WW books, I can be up to 128. Your doctor can set a goal weight for you, and if it's higher than what WW recommends, as long as you have a doctor's note, you'll be fine. I'm going to be giving Strong Bear another go around tonight as well.

Lesa,
You are a solid-muscle built woman. Don't change your goal until you get to 140 and see how it fits. I think you already look very very good.

So much going on! I'm going to do a quick check-in before Amer. Idol comes on!

Surgery went great and I didn't die from getting up at 5:30am. I stayed totally OP and took my journal to the hosp. Yes, I had a candy bar for a snack but it is on the paper and a distant memory. (It just didn't taste as good as I wanted it too so I didn't finish it)

So using only 5 WPAs today feels great. Thanks to all of you who were thinking of us today...

Heidi~ How long did you cook your crock pot chicken???

Thanks Teagranny for your super kind words! I still can't wait to see myself at 140!

Joanne- Well you were lucky and the Sharks are up to play instead, so at least you can have Wing Pride with out any ribbing from the Stars fans....lol.

Andrea- I’m glad that your migraines are getting better. I have been given Imitrex by my Dr, but it is just too expensive. I have come to the point that taking half a Vicodin once I get it works best for me. I saw this crazy home remedy on t.v. that I might try one day if I get desperate. They took a lemon rind and rubbed it on the forehead and then used a scarf to secure it to the forehead rind side against head, leave on until gone….lol…hey I get to the point where I am that desperate.

Lesa- the trail looks like a fun one to do, um well, minus the snakes….yuk! Ugh I just read your new post, copperheads are 10 times worse than what I was thinking. Okay I would totally scream like a sissy if they got to close. Sounds like you shrunk some, that happened to me the last time I was measured at the Dr’s. They say I should weigh around 125, and that is the high weight. There is no way in the world I would ever be that small. I am going for 140 also, maybe any where up to 150. I use to be that weight and looked really good so we will see when I get to that point.

Nicki- hey I like that they don’t count it…lol. You are going to work for Weight Watchers? Hmmmm I hope you get some cool discounts, good luck!

Carrie- I have been thinking about David’s post, I have made peace with it all and I am just happy to becoming a healthy person.

Tina- This year I am actually not going to whine when I have to mow the lawn, since maybe I can get some AP’s out of it. I wonder can you count it with a pedometer as plain walking or is there more effort in it. Hmmmm…..

Ann- I hope the work situation gets better. I did over a year of really long days and I know how you feel. Tell your Dh that the fast weight loss happens to the best of us, but a slower loss is probably better.

Cindy- I wish my DD’s school had something like that I never have a clue what is going on. She is in the pre-school program but at a school that is part of our school district, I would love to know more about what goes on there. Congrats on avoiding the sweet stuff.

Heidi- “green free” I think that is what I was before joining WW’s…lol. They said you should weigh 103, that us way too small!

David- congrats on the 75lb magnet! What they allow them there once they are skinny…lol just kidding. I can’t wait to be one of those -what the heck is she doing here people.

Amy- I am glad to see that the surgery went okay and that you were able to stay on point!

Me- Same as usual, I broke down and ate a piece of left over pizza, I admit it I did it!! I swear I am having the worst time being in control with the hormonal issues I am having. So I really stepped up the exercising, walking 1 mile at lunch and doing 9 miles on my exercise bike to make up for it.

I showed my friend at work the site today and emailed her the link. I even showed her some of your before and after pics that you have in your siggy's to show her that it can be done.

Besides that nothing much new.

Hope everyone has a great night!!

Amy - Glad the surgery went well. And great job on not finishing the candy bar!

~Shannon~ - Way to go on stepping up the exercise. Don't beat yourself up too much about the pizza - what's done is done!

Lesa - I cook my Crockpot Chicken on low all day (I leave the house at 7:30am, and don't eat dinner until 7:30pm). As for the Strong Bear workout, there are some of the moves I have to modify, just like when I first started FIRMing. I'm looking forward to being able to do ALL of them the fitter I get!

Andrea - Isn't that the way it always is with vacations? Sometimes when I go back to work it feels like I never even went anywhere!

David - You always make me laugh! 2.4 is nothing to sneeze at - especially when you picture it as 10 cubes of butter!

Joanne - Hope the doctor's appointments went well. I got my new FIRM sculpting stick today plus the Tough Tape/Five Day Abs DVD, so I'll be previewing those tonight! I'm so easily influenced!

Dan? Rachel? Paris? Where are you guys???

I'm getting ready to call it a night as far as the computer goes. The sweet potato fries are in the oven and I've gotta throw my Boca burger in the pan. Stay strong, Commandos!

Anyway today was a good OP day, this dumb crick in my neck is still here but not near as bad.
Tomorrow I have a date with the treadmill.

See ya tomorrow!

Good morning my Commando friends!

Yesterday was a good day! Second date, he made me salmon and roasted veggies. We talked all night. He's such a great guy. I know I have been wrong before, but the thing is that I know this guy! We used to work in the same place a couple of years ago. So I actually know that he's a great guy. Of course there are á million things that might go wrong, but we might as well have fun while it's fun right?

Exercise-wise, I'm getting tired of this cold. I'm still coughing, so I've cancelled my aerobics class tonight. Still teaching the strength class though.

Feeling good and strong and commando in spite of the lack of exercise.

Bugs and Squishes!

/H

ME- I am OP all the way. WI last night wasn’t so good. Just .6 gone this week. Slow and steady, steady and slow. I am tired of being the tortoise, I want to be the hair for a while. DH is home today, we are going now to look at a few houses in town. So I will talk to you all later today.

Heidi- I have made the crock-pot chicken before, it is very good. I think that is what I will have for dinner tomorrow. Thanks for the idea.

David- congrats on that magnets. But what’s up with the barbell? I didn’t get a barbell with my 75 magnets.

Lesa- don’t fret over the height and frame thing. As far a WW goes, leave it there. Then make it your personal goal to get to the other. That way you will get lifetime sooner. FREE FREE FREE membership. And is Strong Bear a firm program?

~Shannon~ there is a little more then just steps involved in mowing my back yard. It is a hill. So I would hope that there would be a few more AP’s then just the steps give me.

Nicki- I hope you fill better. It is probably the pollen in the air right now.

Hanna- So glad to hear you might how found a good guy this time. I do hope he is better to you then the last. Bonus, he cooks. And he cooks healthy.

Hanna - If he makes you salmon on the second date, sounds like a keeper to me! You deserve a good one!

Nicki - **{HUGS}} Hope you feel better, girl. Use some of that nursing knowledge on yourself!

Nell - A date with the treadmill? Sounds promising!

Tina - I'm glad you enjoyed the crockpot chicken. That's one thing I've NEVER screwed up making....except that one time when I forgot to plug the darn crockpot in!

As for me, I'm caught up for the most part of the barrage of paperwork that was waiting for me Monday. It's supposed to be 80+ today, so I might change my workout plans and go for a bike ride when I get home from work. There's such a small window of opportunity to enjoy the outdoors here before the heat gets unbearable! Meals and snacks are planned. I'm fired up and ready!

To all the Commandos to follow - STAY STRONG!

TAAA DAAAA!

What? You didn't like my disappearing act? Where's the applause? - After all I did disappear and made myself reappear.

Life has been very hectic. I am really not sure why - maybe it is all in my head. I feel like I am getting behind with work at home, school, and on the job. I noticed this morning that I had a pile of boxes from vendors that I had allowed to pile up from the floor to the top of my desk and so I decided to clear out the cobwebs and I started by taking out the trash. Now I don't feel crowded and I have a cleaner work area. I sit in a square room staring at this computer - behind me are the servers and behind those are a pair of shelf units stacked with computer parts. I have a door but no windows. I am tempted to paint a window on the wall just to pretend. The darned GEN300 class I am in still has me in a slump at school. I need to turn in my assignments on time. Less than 2 weeks left in the class - I can't wait to move on to the next course - Business Systems.

Monday nights weigh in was a repeat - 2.4 lbs lost again! Apparently David decided to copy off my paper during the test!

Well I must be off, I have to order some computer stuff and wait for someone to call me any minute cuz their cup holder in the front of the computer broke off when they put an oversize latte in it.

ONWARD!

Good Morning Hanna, Tina and Hedi and all those to follow

I'm OP and even though tomorrow when I go to my meeting I know there will be a gain I'm gonna put my big girl panties on and deal with it! I know it will come off pretty quick as long as I stay on track. And that's just what I plan on doing.

Hanna, I agree with Heidi sounds like a keeper to me.

Tina, I would love to see a .6 loss tomorrow, but it ain't gonna happen for me...you lost and you are doing great!!!!

Heidi, I can relate to the weather, living in Texas we have so little time to enjoy nice warm temps before the real heat sets in. My Dh just said the other day we need to start going to the park to walk again before it gets to hot. Enjoy the bike ride if you decide to change up your workout.

Dan congrats on your 2.4 loss ~ Gosh that David what a copy cat huh? LOL

I hope everyone has a great Commando day!

Good morning buddies,

Congrats to the guys on their 2.4 lbs losses,
Nell-you can do this, hang in there and kick some lipid butt
Tina- .6 is dissappointing when everyone else loses 1+ lbs per week, but I will take a -.6 over a gain or a 'no change'.
everyone, have a strong day

Congrats Dan & David - copycat or not, those are great losses guys!!
David - congrats on your 75 lb magnet!! WTG Commando buddy!!
Heidi - I'm so jealous of your 80 degree weather. I love the sun and heat and after two beautiful days (it could've been warmer, but in Ohio in April, I can't complain) we're back to chilly (gotta wear a jacket) and rain....uck!!!
Nell - I'm proud of you-go see what the scale says and then onward soldier!
Tina - I hope you enjoy your time looking at houses...I love to do that! I think I should go to real estate school actually...
~shannon~ Check with your school districts PTA or PTO... they'd be the folks who would be having these kinds of informational programs. Sounds like you worked that pizza right off- WTG!
Andi & Hanna- Feel better!
Hanna - Ditto on the fella!! Sounds like a good one...
Amy - glad to hear the surgery went well!
Lesa - Copperheads are WORSE than what I already had envisioned in my mind...lol....if you couldn't already tell,....I am terrified of two things - and one of them is SNAKES!
Joanne - hope all went well at the dr's!

This has been the craziest last two weeks.... Yesterday was so off kilter that I ended up doing my WATP tape at 10:30pm last night. THen stayed up even later doing housework and ironing... so I'm a little sleepy today despite a large coffee. I realized today that next week I will be smoke free and OP for 3 months!! Wooooo-Hoooooo!! I never thought I could give up smoking AND be OP at the same time!! I've gotta start thinking about a reward for myself for this one.... any suggestions?!

Have a great OP day folks, I'm off to surf the boards.

Wow, Cindy!! Great job! How about a massage or manicure/pedicure? Can you tell I'm all about being pampered? Or maybe a new workout DVD! Or some kind of charm that has 3 of something on it to signify 3 months?

Well maybe not that - but I have had some interesting calls from people. Last week I had a guy come running into my office. He came from a trailer that we put outside on the other side of the machine shop at work. I guess he hasn't figured out how to pick up the phone and dial my extension. Anyway he came bursting in my office saying that the server was down. I said the server was fine (we actually have 2, but they don't know the difference). He said that he couldn't get on the Internet. I said the Internet is fine too (I didn't have the heart to tell him that if both servers were to crash he would still have Internet access). So to calm the man I walked with him through the machine shop and to his corner of the trailer. I sat down and noticed right away that he didn't have a network connection. I lowered the screen to his laptop and saw that his Ethernet cable was just sitting on the desk - making no effort to connect to the man's laptop. I plugged it in and told him not to worry I see it all the time and went back to my office. I have more stories where that came from.

Good evening Commandos!

Just doing quick check in before I have dinner tonight. It was good OP day. We were in a meeting all afternoon in which they served lunch and snacks but I was prepared with my own food so there was no challenge there. I did eat too much last night with mindless munching and I'm not really sure why, but I had points to cover and I don't keep unhealthy food in the house. If I get into that mood again tonight I'll just go upstairs to my bedroom early and watch TV up there cause once I'm upstairs I don't come back down to the kitchen again.

Sounds like everyone's having a great day and great job at the WIs to those who've had them so far this week.

Shannon - if I get desparate enough I might have to try the lemon thing LOL!

Have a great night everyone!

Hi Commandos! I'm working ANOTHER double shift to cover my coworker whos home was hit by the tornado. I'll have to work another double on Friday and maybe even Saturday if I live that long. On top of THAT I'm getting sick and DS gave me a case of pink eye. I haven't had a chance to walk or lift weights this week but at least I've stayed OP. It seems a lot more difficult though when the natural order of your life is disturbed. I'm way beyond personals right now but I'm keeping up with all of you fellow soldiers and it sounds like your doing well. Have a nice evening!!

HELLO COMMANDOS!

Sounds as if you are all STRONG AND IN CONTROL I LOVE IT!! You guys are doing awesome. We had some great losses on this thread this week, and I am doing the chicken dance for each one of you....even the tortoise!! Even a little loss is A LOSS!!! YEAH BABY!!

I just finished my workout....I did TURBO JAM....who said 35 had to be old?? I have been OP the fruit is done, the veggies are gone, the milk is accounted for and MAN OH MAN is the water taken care of!!!!

So now it is just dinner off the grill! Tonight is my "heavy" point night on the CW plan, so we are grilling STEAK!!!! YUM! I will have a baked sweet potatoe, and some green beans..and dinner is served...BEEF IT'S WHAT'S FOR DINNER!

It rained here, so no bike riding for us for a few days...BUMMER, I am really getting into this. I want to take those pictures to show you guys.

Today was a lot better at work than yesterday, but boy was I ready to get home and HIT THE EXERCISE.... I knew all day I wanted to KICK and PUNCH, and that is what is on TURBO JAM, just very young and hip! LIKE ME...hehehe.

I have to run DS to youth, so I will catch you all on the flip side...yep, showing my age...

Hey Ya'll! Today was a lot better than yesterday! I wasn't sleep walking today I played Secretary and learned how to put Dr. orders in the computer and stuff. Tomorrow they give me a patient! Yay! Poor patient LOL So far everyone has been nice and helpful. I have been POP! I avoided the candy dish, burgers and other trash that was around. I dontated BLOOD today.........muah ha ha ha, so Duh me, I can't do my run tonight. I didn't even think about that until they said "no strenuous activity for 24hrs" urg, I was even in the mood to do it tonight too! I dunno what I'll do, I am missing a whole week of my running. I will catch up later, need to hit the hay. I have been reading up on you all and, congrats on the losses guys, and gals! Hope the tornasty's are stayin away!

Hugs and smooches!

Hello Commandos!

Agreeing with your agreeing, the guy's a keeper if he wants to be kept... We'll see.

Great OP day planned here, going to a customer in the afternoon, and hoping to get some time to look at some shoes while visiting an actual city as opposed to the hole in the middle of nowhere that I live in...

I am so bummed that I can't exercise, but I am really making an effort to be calm in order to let my body recover.

Hav a great day!

/Hanna
