good morning buddies!! im alive. been busy shopping . hubby made it down here safe yesterday. went out to breakfast and the guys went golfing and we did some more shopping and errands. had dinner at the house then went to the christmas show at carolina opry. it was good but i think the other show at alabama theatre was better IMHO. todays agenda - shopping. broadway at the beach has locals weekend and get a discount - not sure how much. also have to head back to the outlets to return a pair of pants that are WAY too long no me let alone DH which is who i bought them for. other than that im making out pretty good and finding some cool deals. wish ihad more room cuz ive seen some awesome christmas decorations. it still doesnt feel right to be looking and christmas stuff down here. it was 73 yesterday. i was in shorts, tshirt and christmas shopping?! something wrong w/that picture. lol. well im having a cup of tea and then taking a quick shower then we are off for the day. we may head down to crocodile rocks after supper. its a dueling piano bar. lots of fun. tomorrow is supposed to be really crappy and raining. prob wont do too much. patriots football game is at 4 so we'll prob get some snacks and watch that here at the house. i will try to check in later. my choices have really not been that great. im getting a ton of walking in but im going to get thru these next few days and need to do something. im very unhappy with the way i look and feel. i know what i need to do so i just gotta do it!!

Howdy Everybuddie!!

I can't figure out why I am up so early on the weekends. I am actually getting ready to go to work for a few hours. I am trying to get caught up.

This time last week, I got my crash course in medical billing. I put in a ton of claims. In our staff meeting on Wednesday, I had to explain that we let the billing person go and I was getting my crash course. I told them I had submited a bunch of claims and was praying we would have the money by Thanksgiving so they could get their checks on the first. Their checks = my billing! So I pulled my report off th computer on Thursday but needed to be in our other office (which is where the printer is!) I pulled up the report and hit print but it wouldn't let me see the last page so I figured I would go over to the other office...it was 18 pages long (normally 5 or 6) so I figured I had a lot of denials.. NOPE YIPPEEEEEE all the claims I filed online went through and they paid us.

Last year when we went to the state gymnastics meet there was an incident involving our city Parks and Rec program. Their male coach was wrestling around the floor with a teenage girl gymnast. It was gross! I filled a complaint with the mayor's office and with Wyoming gymanstics. Both chose to sweep it under the carpet. THe mayor told me that it was a family friend and her mom knew about it so there was no wrong doing. WHAT???? It was just bad judgement. Anyway, at our last meet here one of M's friends and her mom came to see her at the meet. We were sitting there talking because she wants to put her youngest in gymnastics and thought about the city program because it is a lot cheaper than the private gym. I told her NO! I also told the story above. It is common knowledge around the gymnastic world that he is a creep. Watching him with the young girls it just odd. Anyway, one of Dave's former employees was sitting in front of us. (insert foot because I didn't know she now works for the city in their gymanstic program adn is an employee of this coach) This is an employee Dave fired a few years ago. Anyway, she over heard this conversation and must of said something to our gym owner. I will get back to this part in a minute.

Fast forward to last weekend's meet. One of the judges was one of our coaches. This is not a coach I like. She is very hard on the girls. She scores them harshly and in M's case her scores were 1/2 to 1 point lower than any of her other meets this year on the events that this lady judged. This is also the coach that yells at the girls and has made many of them cry. I honestly don't like her. Plus she has a daughter that has been nicked name the "golden child". I will admit she is good but you would be too if you spent 8 hours in the gym a day. Her mom also let her compete last year seriously injuried because she said she wanted to. SHe was the only one from the gym that didn't come to Mallisa's party but that was ok because mommy dearest was a hot topic of conversation. A lot of the parents felt that she judges too brutal and they don't feel it is fair becuase she already knows the girls weaknesses. They thought about filing a letter with the state gymnastics.

No one will talk to the gym owner mainly because things don't change and she doesn't care. SHe is lucky the only competition in this city is the Park and Recs program but they do not have coaches that can coach the level Miss M is on besides I will not put my daughter at any danger working with a pervert. The other part of this is the gym owner has been sick for the last year and uses it to her advantage...... it is sad, she has a gold mine and is close to losing it all.

I said something to the gym owner's daughter. (She is a 20 year old adult not a child) who works at the gym in the office. There is a lot of negative comments at the gym and I am tired of hearing about them. I felt the owner needed to know. Because I have always been very vocal when I don't like things that does put me in a bad position when I do complain. I do realize that but the owner wouldn't talk to me because I questioned something early this season when they were not coaching Miss M when she was scared to do something on bars and she was "avoiding" it. I was told they only wanted to coach the ones that want to be there. Huge different in avoiding and refusing to do something. It was a problem they let go on way to long. I was very vocal when I figured it out and let her know I was not happy. Remember I pay a lot of money for this sport!

She called me on Thursday and wanted to meet with me. She basically kicked me out of her gym for any meet or parents night that she holds. Miss M could compete and Dave could come but I wasn't allowed in her gym. (not other gyms) Her reasoning is I talked bad about another gym and someone filed a complaint with Wy. gymnastics. I asked for a copy she said umm..it was verbal. I said well, there is no complaint if I wasn't allowed to give my side of it or defend myself. (her husband is a lawyer) Also I thought it was funny I could go to other gyms so if it was a WY thing I would be allowed. I remained calm and was very proud of my self. I also said that wasn't going to work because she takes my money every month and I have a right to go to any meet or parents night because I am her customer not Miss M. I have not done anything wrong. She also does not have a sign in her gym that says she has the right to refuse any service. Her service is to teach my daughter gymnastics. I told her last time I knew I lived in America and I have a right to free speech. I didn't say anything that was untrue. Then she said well you said you didn't like their leotards..blah blah blah. and their gym is sub-par. (we don't compete there because she feels the equipment is not up to standards and the vault runway is too short) She said it reflected bad on her gym. I said it shouldn't reflect her gym because I am a customer and I don't work for her. She said her decison was final. I said ok, then I will call Dave and he will meet with you too because I want you to tell him this. She said, well I am in a hurry and I can't wait.. I said no, you will wait, he is very close. So I called Dave and he came. First thing out of his mouth was do you want to go to court or we can settle this now. Do you want me to call my lawyer and you can call your husband. She backed down instantly. She reversed her "final" decision.

I was flustrated and tired of the all the negativity about her gym. She did admit this year has been full of problems. Her coaching style is so far different this other coach and went on to tell me how nice this coach really is... blah blah blah..it won't change my mind. If this lady ever yells at my child like I have seen her do to other children..... I will file a complaint with the police and with Wyoming gymnastics for verbal abuse. She is lucky she is the only game in town. But I will watch my mouth because of Miss M. She has been at this gym for 7 years and loves to be there so I don't want to mess this up for her. So I will eat crow and shut up.

Ok..now that I wrote a book... I will go to work.

Hi again buds.

Lisa, wow, what a mess. It's so hard to deal with things like that when things you say and do can come back to hurt your child. My only advise is to make sure that anything else you say or do is because of or to benefit M. Some things that are done or said don't really bother a child, and the parent speaks up only to realize that the child was fine with it, but the parent spoke out because it bothered them. Talk to M, and see how she feels about the whole thing, and try to hold your tongue unless she is being harmed. She actually might not mind being yelled at by the coach-I know it sounds odd, but in part, it makes her just one of the gymnasts and not your daughter out there. (I learned this lesson the hard way with all 3 of my kids-it's only your complaining and such that upsets the child, and yes, I know it's HARD) Good luck. I'm so glad my kids are done with sports!!! It brought me lots of joy and fun at the time, but man, talk about stress.

Katy, I hope you have fun today, but when your calf muscle hurts tonight, we'll all know it's because you drove around all day long.....

Wow, Lisa....that is tough - you are entitled to your opinions, of course, and only want what is absolutely best (and safest) for Miss M. I can't tell you how many times I have said something that was overheard and "reported" to some one else who was either hurt by what I said, or caused trouble for someone. Especially in my job, I have to be very, very careful about anything I saw about any nursing homes I am in. I let my reports to the Federal government say it all, and do not usually discuss any parts of it outside of our team meetings, and never with names or actual locations named.

My kids always lived in fear that I would get on a roll and really start telling people what I thought about things, and they would let me know as they got older (and even when they were younger) that they preferred to handle things themselves - and I honored their requests. I had to eat a lot of humble pie myself, and I can tell you it is not my favorite dessert.

Hi Katy, I really do agree with what you've said about your kids wanting to handle things on their own. Mine did the same thing for me, and it's so hard sometimes to keep my trap shut. That is representative of how I feel when they tell me to shut up.....however, I usually was and am pretty proud of how they handled their own problems. Ya know, if we ate more "humble pie" instead of the other kind of pie, we might be skinny.....hmmmm.,......

hello ladies. I'm sorry I have been such a crappy buddy lately. Lots going on and somehow the important stuff to me got taken over by the crap?

lisa- sometimes it really sucks to be a parent doesn't it. We have to fight for what we believe in but at the same time try to make everyone happy. I was talking with my son's pediatric hematologist on thursday and it came up that my mom was refered to as a b_tch quite often because she didn't back down when it came to the important stuff. The doc's said and I quote " the best moms are the one who are b_tches because they don't back down" I think that says it all.

nancy- which is worse humble pie or crow? LOL

tanya- you vacation too much not fair I jealous. speaking of which do we have a date in Dec for tea?

rhonda- really long personals here no more yelling at me.

Cressa, thank God I don't eat much of either anymore...it actually doesn't taste too bad when you have to eat crow for a better cause though. My kids have always been the most important things in my life, and if someone could make me see that it was for THEIR good, I'd ease up and suck it up. However......don't mess with my kids. The message was always loud and clear. It still raises my blood pressure over that basketball coach thing-I've since talked about this to my dd, and she told me that what I did actually did make it a bit more difficult for her in the short run because it brought everything to a head very quickly, BUT, she said that she knew that I did it out of love and concern for her, and was really OK with it. both then and now. She's a great adult, and we talk about that nasty time every once in a while. I was not very Christian in my thoughts about those 2 men for quite a while, and in fact, I still think they SUCK!!

Hi there buddies! I'm sorry this will be short, but I thought I better check in. I have been in and out mostly from the pain meds and get naseaus when I sit up. Alex and my niece Tiffany from CO have been doing my bandage changes and taking good care of me. This has been tougher than I thought and really feel more education could have been in order. But too late now, just got to get thru this.

Katy, wooohooo!! How does it feel buddy to be out on the roads again?? I was not out to 3am partying..haha. I was just up. Thanks for eating all of my cake!

Nancy, no more home alone for you? haha... Hope Bryan's trip was good. I sure hope I'm home to stay today but the weekend has been a blast. Beckey took me out on Friday for a day of pampering and Keri took me off yesterday to Sarasota ... had a massage and a facial. Awesome time with both my girls.

Karen, that sounds awesome to be able to do that with your girls-not one day with both, but 2 days with each one!! Much better cuz double the fun. You deserve it, and I'm so glad you enjoyed it.

Rhonda, I think there might be a reason why they don't educate you fully. Sorry to say, but many people would think twice, and perhaps not have the surgery. Each day is a new milestone and pretty soon, you'll be feeling so much better and have real wonderful results to share with us. Hang in there, and you know where to come from for a shoulder to cry on!

Bryan was able to take an earlier flight, and he got home right around 9 pm last night. Only problem was that his luggage is still at the airport because he didn't sit and wait for the luggage to come on the next plane in 3.5 hours. I have to admit, it was really good to see him, and we had a good 2 hours catching up. Lots happened this week with my trip up to MD, and his 2 trips-first to FL and then to Seattle. There are things happening at his work too, and he had to share that story, so I'm whipped today. Stayed up too late.....it was worth it, but it'll be early to bed with me tonight!
I'm getting ready to go head to head with my pseudo-boss again.....I have an email ready to send to her, and I'm sure that I'll get a nasty response back from her. My bigger boss has the upper levels involved now.... What have I gotten myself into? Sigh. My shoulders are strong, and I can stand much, but I'm so tired of fighting for respect in this lab. I'm just too much of a brat though, and I won't lay down and let her walk all over us. to Bonnie.

Yes Karen, he left without his luggage. He has 3 days to pick it up before it would become an unclaimed baggage. We'll just drive over there today or tomorrow and pick it up. It is an hour drive, but he was exhausted from traveling all day long from Seattle and just wanted to get HOME. I'm so glad he did because I was worried about him driving late at night when he would be so travel-weary. I wonder if he's still snoozing? Maybe I should call and find out? Doesn't seem right for anyone to be snoozing while I'm at work.....

Today is Dave's bday and tomorrow is Miss M's real birthday.

It helped me writing down what happened at the gym. I do have some fault in what happened but so did the owner. I will admit to my fault, I doubt the owner ever will. I picked M up on FRiday night and yesterday afternoon but the owner wasn't there...the mean coach did give me a dirty look but I was the adult and just smiled. One of the gossipy mom approached me and I only talked about working a million hours this week. I will not say anything about the gym. One of M's teammates spent the night last night. I really like this girl and her parents. Her mom is a published author. (see next time she wants us to sit with her at a meet, I will, because she will keep me inline)

Ok.. I have to make a cake again today. I will be glad when birthday week is over. LOL

Meatloaf cupcakes were a huge hit. I'm going to use the leftover potatoes today to make potato pancakes, yummy!!

lisa- sometimes talking about this makes us feel better about them. That's why I go to a therapist once a month, she a neutral party who will listen to me bitch and then give me ideas on how to handle what is bothering me.

Paul t has fired up his easy bake oven so now I have to go find some stuff for him to bake. He loves to cook. I really need to start showing him how to make stuff ( small stuff) on his own. He made me a pb & J yesterday (used 4 butter knifes to make it too LOL) and a bowl of cereal this morning. Love that boy!!!

Rhonda, I was not up at 3:00 am - I just saw that Karen posted at 3:00 am. I figured she had stumbled to the computer after celebrating her birthday in the pantry.....

My return to driving was uneventful. My grandson came to spend some time with me - I drove him up to the library. No one was injured or hurt in any way

Then last night I drove to meet my husband at a local watering hole for a late dinner (he worked the football game yesterday and it was his last football game so they were celebrating, I only drank decaf). Then I drove to pick Stephanie and Clarissa up for the night. Just now we delivered them home and I picked up my work vehicle and drove it home. So I've put in about 40 miles in the last 2 days....it's nice to be able to go when I want, but I don't usually go somewhere just to be going somewhere. I had already eliminated making unnecessary trips before I couldn't drive, and I've gotten very good at maximizing trips.

Now I am working on getting my suitcases back into work-travel mode. I had taken out all my stuff that I usually keep in there when we went to Florida. I am taking some exercise videos - the exercise rooms in the motels are not usually my favorite spots, and I always had a real plate, and silverware, and a real glass to drink from. Just need to remember where I put everything and gather it all back up.

Cressa, definitely encourage the little guy to cook!!! My boys both have turned out to be decent cooks - not that it's something they LOVE to do, but they certainly CAN do it, and both do the majority of the cooking in their homes. Meatloaf cupcakes sound pretty good!!!

Hi girls. Boring day here-the doc I have here today is very stingy with what he orders-not normal around here! I'd actually rather be busy-time goes so dang slow when I'm not busy.

Cressa, we all have those non-motivational days....tomorrow will be better, and it's probably a good idea to wait on the bookcase.

Rhonda, so good to see you posting. Enjoy your company and enjoy being waited on, lol. It won't last for long.

Lisa, I've read that dang email so many times my eyes are crossing. I'll go home tonight, read it once more with a calm mind and send it along. The problem is that now that my boss has gotten the big brass involved, chances are they will see the email and I want to look brilliant. Actually, I'll settle for smart and well thought out and not mean spirited and bossy. I need my job, and it behooves me to get along with this person, however she's such an idiot it's very hard.
