Thread: T20's 100+ 11/2-11/8

  1. Default T20's 100+ 11/2-11/8

Goodmorning ladies!! This was a thread that a few of ladies started some years back and thanks to Tiffany for getting this started again! Sorry, that it's taken me so long to get back here but to be honest my family and I had the flu for about 2 weeks back in Sept and I let my old eating habits slip back as well. It was horrible and my body started paying for it. I felt so sluggish and just plain disgusting. I only had about two pairs of jeans that I was able to fit into and even those were getting hard to squeeze into. I even had my dd who's 4 mention to me that my tummy was bigger I started breaking out with acne and at night I found that my hands were always falling asleep but in a painful way not just tingling. That really scared me and after googling for hours I attributed it to my weight gain. I don't want to get diabetes or other health problems over something that I CAN control. So, here's to getting this weight/fat off for good!!!!!!!!!

A little background on the 100+ thread is for anyone that has 100lbs or more to lose but we welcome anyone that can connect with us...the more the merrier. We can post our menus, nsv's, pictures, anything just about...WELCOME

    Mercedes!!!

I tried to restart this thread about a month ago and got no responses at all. I'm glad you are back and we can do this thread again. I love all my BCB buddies but it is soooo hard to relate to someone who has something like 20 lbs to lose, or is 5 lbs away from goal. I think we 100+ers have somewhat of a different struggle than others and I love to have this thread.

    Thanks again for starting this!!!

How have you been, other than the flu?

    Hi ladies!

I never really posted in the T20s 100+ but I'm totally interested!!

I've been back on track for 2 weeks now and well I feel good for the most part. I had some slip ups this past weekend that left me feeling icky. That just means my body was LIKING all this healthy stuff I've been putting into it! So I need to work better to do well next weekends. Weekends are TOUGH!

Anything you gals are struggling with right now??

    Hey Jenn,

I had a similar weekend, and am definitely paying for it in the way I feel today. I didnt do terribly, but I definitely could have made better decisions.

I am struggling with (get this) getting in all my points. I just feel like I have sooo much points and my stress level has been so high that I can't concentrate on getting in high-point, yet healthy, foods. So I am doing my healthy 8's and eating like I was when I was 80 lbs lighter the last time I did WW. This is leaving me with about 10 points at the end of the day. I know all about the fact that I am going to eventually plateau because of this but I am just having a really hard time getting into the planning and eating so many points! Thats my biggest struggle right now.

On a more positive note, my office is full of all kinds of left over junk from everyones Halloween weekend and I have resisted all day and have no desire to have any right now.

Pinc~ Welcome back! I am excited for this thread too!

How's everyones afternoons going? We really have to keep this thread active!

Hey buddies, I'm so excited that our thread is already getting a move on!! This is only day 2 of me being back on plan but I already feel better. I've had like 4 bottles of water today and am doing great.

Jenn-weekends are super tough for me as well especially when my df is wanting to go out to eat or eat food porn all the time. I always have a party or some sort of occasion going on so I really need to focus on the fun and not so much the food. So, weekends is something I REALLY need to work on...but with this thread and buddies helping us I know we can do this

Pinc...I'm so glad you came out of lurk mode and jumped right in! I just know that we can do this and get this weight off. Post lots

Tiffany-I know that with having alot of pts like we do it's hard to get them all in so you kind of need to play with your menu's in figuring it out. I use to eat a light breakfast, a light lunch and saved all my pts for dinner but in doing that I was left with tons of pts that I couldn't use. I always felt that I needed 19 or more pts for dinner to feel satisfied but that's just all in my head. We can have a hearty dinner for less than that. You can eat two pcs of bked chicken, 1 cup of mashed potatoes, green beans and a pc of bread all for 13 pts and be totally satisfied. So, with that being said maybe try eating a large breakfast, a good size lunch and a regular dinner. Getting all your healthy 8's in and adding regular dressing or cheese should help you out as well.

Mercedes~ Great job on the water.

I just posted this in the daily, but thought I would ask for your opinions too! I am going to start taking night classes in 2 weeks and have been thinking of ways I can stay OP with such long days. Classes are on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-930. I work M-F 8-4:30 and the school is about 5 minutes away from work. I have the convenience of a fridge & microwave at work, and a microwave at the school. I have a few ideas. Please let me know what you think and add any input or ideas of your own:
-I could cook big on Sunday and put away 2 bagged dinners for myself for Tuesday and Thursday nights
-I will also make sure I always have frozen meals (lean cuisines or what-have-you) and those canned soups that have the pull-open lid for meals in a pinch.
-I can always do sandwiches in a lunch bag.
-I will keep a few snacks in my car (as I usually do) such as crackers or granola bar for inbetween work and school if I know I will not have a chance to get in a full meal.
-On days that I forget a meal or dont have time to cook the night before, I have plenty of places around here, and that hour and a half between work and school that I can grab a salad or sandwich of some sort.

    Thanks for any advice!!

Glad to see this thread so active today. AND to see that it's brought a few buddies out of hiding!!

Tiffany - the first few days I was back on WW I had more points than I did the last time I was doing it, so I found it to be difficult to get all of my points in. But I upped my points at each meal by adding more milk, oil, etc (healthy fats & healthy 8s.)

As for your work/class eating dilemma. If I were you I'd definitely cook on the weekends and have things ready for each day of the week. That way you won't ever have to go out and grab a bite to eat. That can at times be tough to do AND stay strong at the same time. The way I do it for DH is I pack him a cooked meal like 3 days a week and sandwiches 2 days a week - he enjoys having the variety and things being switched up.

Mercedes - enjoy this motivation now!!! I'm still feeling the "motivation" as a beginner since I only recommited 2 weeks ago. We all know it doesn't last forever, so enjoy it now! WTG on the water.

Hey is it alright that I join?
Been struggling lately and I find it just as hard to keep the weight off that it is to lose it.

Overall, my goal is to lose 70 lbs or more. So it's close enough to 100 right?

Mornin ladies! Ugh, I'm having such a horrible headache this morning that even when I move my head it hurts...never really had migraines so I don't know how that feels but my dad said it could be the weather or sinuses...either way it's blahh!! I still did my morning walk and plan to get back in the habit of at least doing some squats n crunches. Today is day 3 of me being back OP and I can already feel the bloatness go down and my skin is looking pretty good as well. Don't care if it's a mental thing or not cos it's still working, lol. Well, hope everyone is having a good morning...ttyl

Michelle-Of course you can join us girlie...your kickbutt attitude is really welcomed here and will help give us the push that us buddies need!! Your doing such an awesome job...I remember when you were at a higher wt than me and look at you now...I'm really proud of you for sticking with it!

Jenn-I totally am feeling the hype of the newbie feeling again...it's great!! I've been journaling to a T, drinking my water and even started taking my vitamins!! It's a great feeling and makes me feel that I can really do this again but this time get to goal!

Tiffany-I really don't have to add anything cos your plan sounds great...I think you have it all down!

Here's to another O.P day and feeling great!!!

Thank you so much Mercedes for the kind words! As much as I've done well, I struggle a lot as well. I have a lot of problems with controlling what I eat after supper, that's the WORST time of the day for me.

Tiff - the plan looks awesome for sure. For me I'm trying to walk during my breaks, just to get active and be able to move around. I'd love to try and stop eating so much at nights too.

Did you guys want to post your menus in here too?

Mercedes - I hear you on the headache, I have been very very stuffed up, achey and feeling crappy today.

Jenn - I'm glad we all seem to be newly OP and re-committed. I had 5 days that I totally went off the wagon, and haven't faced the scale yet - I'll do my WI like I usually do on Saturdays and hope for the best.

    Hello Ladies~

I did well last night. Stayed OP. Had breaded chicken, brown rice & steamed broccolli for dinner and plenty of water. I have really not been in the mood to cook lately but I made my butt get up and cook. Leftovers for tonight.

Thanks for all your comments on my plan for school. I think I will do well. Surprisingly, that time I lost 84 lbs on WW, I was working 2 jobs and going to school. Maybe being so busy keeps me focused and away from the binge-monster. I tend to do best in everything when I'm under pressure.

Michelle~ Of course you can join in. I was trying to think of something other than 100+ to call this thread, since we all HATE the number. Its nice to just have people who are in (or have been in) the same situation as you. Its kind of hard when you have a lot more to lose to relate to someone who is hovering around goal, or just wanted to lose 20 lbs or something. Welcome!!!

Mercedes~ to the headache. Hope you feel better soon. Great job still getting in a walk. You are better than me, I would be in bed curled up like a baby lol.

Jenn~ Good point about grabbing food on the go. I think I will try to do something similar to what you do for your hubby. Thanks again!

Tiff - I hear you on the losing the weight and the boredom.
I just don't seem to relate with someone who has so little to lose. It's just so overhwelming to see a large number, no matter if you have 10 of the 60 to lose or 60 or the 10 to lose.

It's so challenging to keep the weight off....

Does anyone here suffer with eating when they're bored? Or late night eating?

I have trouble with eating when I am bored. For some reason, I have no idea why, and I'm not complaining, I haven't been having trouble at night. Maybe its because I have been so busy in my own mind that by the time I come home, cook, eat, clean up and do miscellaneous house chores I am just ready for bed and dont have time to snack. But I do WW with my mother and she has trouble at night. Have you found any satisfying but healthy alternatives to your late night snacks? She typically does the 94% ff popcorn or a WW or skinny cow ice cream. Are you reaching for something salty or sweet? Are you eating enough at dinner time? Is there something else that you like to do that can keep your hands busy after dinner (reading, writing, computer, etc.)?

I just crave everything, I can't eat too much because of my gastroparesis - it'll just go right back up.

So I try to eat as much as possible, but it's like... I wind down, have some snacks, etc. I usually go for something sweet for sure.

Yeah was planning on picking up more yogurt, I also make these really healthy vegan banana oatmeal flax cookies, and have some fruit popcicles, made from fruit puree, no sugar added.

It's just for me to perhaps get over this stressful time at work.

Mornin ladies! I'm about to do my morning walk but decided to post first as I have so much stuff to do today. I had a huge NSV yesterday...took the kiddos shopping at the mall and stopped at the foodcourt YES foodcourt, lol well I got them chinese and boy did I WANT chinese but I stayed strong and opted for healthy subway!!! I felt so good afterward, even my children were proud of me. There's so much cute clothes and boots but I don't really want to buy anything right now until I lose some weight. You ladies are doing great and I'm loving the activity on this thread....I'll be back later to post some more. Have a lovely day!

    Good morning ladies!

Well today was my WI day and unfortunately I was up 1lb from last week. I know exactly what it was - the weekend. So my plan for this weekend is to have a plan! AND I need to start exercising. So my goal is 3 days this week.

Mercedes - that is quite the NSV!! Congrats to you!

Mercedes - that's awesome! That's a huge accomplishment for sure.

Jenn - At least you know what caused it. I've peeked at the scale and saw I was up too... official WI on Saturday, but I just started TOM for the first time in 2 months... so I am REALLY bloated. Does a period really account for that much weight gain?

Today, I'm just trying to stay OP - cut my snacking at night, last night was BETTER - but still not grand.

I walked 2k at break, and plan to walk another 2k at my 3:00 break to get some APs in.

Jenn - I just can't workout at home sometimes, so I told myself I should walk on my 15 min breaks. It's not much, but I did it today for both breaks and it feels nice. I don't feel as guilty I guess - especially if I'm in PMS mode and feel like I'm going to munch a little more.

Usually my WIs aren't when I fall on my TOM... so I got a little panic-striken when I Saw those numbers this morning.
