Thread: Lactose free still count as dairy?

  1. #1

Default Lactose free still count as dairy?

I am lactose intolerant and I was wondering if lactose free products still count as dairy. If they do are they as good for you? Am I missing something?

Just getting back on track after almost a year of stupid indulgence and I want to make sure I do it right this time.

    Thank you!

I'm not sure about lactose free products, but I know that calcium fortified soy milk counts as a dairy.

Lactose free products count as dairy exactly the same as regular dairy products, and have all the nutrition of regular dairy products too. They have the same amount of protein and calcium. Good for you, for wanting to do things the right way!

Oh good. I don't remember them talking about it in any of my WW meetings. Thanks for your help!

    P.S. Happy Thanksgiving!
