Shaun--Way to go on the loss! It probably won't be quite that high every week, but is not unheard of for a kick off! As far as the weeklies and AP's go, I think if you are sure to eat the weeklies it will slow the loss, but it will help keep you from feeling the deprivation that tends to sneak up when we cut down our intake too much, and it will help keep the idea of "for life" feasible. There's no sense in eating so little that you couldn't possibly hope to keep that up for the rest of your life. The way I look at is that I need to learn how to eat and in amounts that can work forever. Otherwise, the yo-yo continues. I hope that helps a little. Hopefully Jonathan, or CW or one of the other moderators or lifetimers will see your post and be able to answer the question more correctly for ya!! :salut

Good Thursday Morning Buddies. I overslept - forgot to set my alarm and just woke up. One of those where you sit straight up in bed trying to figure out where you are and what is going on. No exercise for me today.

Another day of work. Then the free clinic this afternoon. I hope to get done early so that I can run by the grocery store on the way home and grab some milk.

I saw a commercial for Subway last night about a buy one get one free promotion happening Friday. Think that will be lunch and supper on Friday for us. I love their roast beef. Lots of tomato, cucumber, green peppers, and lettuce for me.

Have a great OP day everyone. I will try to check in later but don't know if we have computers at the free clinic or not.

I can feel it kicking in, so hope this makes sense.

We had a nice (very late) "brunch" yesterday with Rachel and SIL and the little one, Gabers. He is such a delight. I got him a hard hat and he loves wearing it. He "fixes" everything with his play tool set at home, so he will enjoy wearing the hat while "working" now. lol I probably won't get to see them again before they go back to TN. They are in St Augustine (just R and J) and will pick up G and T before they head back. They did look at the houses yesterday and we didn't discuss it.

So where was everyone yesterday? Karen, Cherry, Brenda?? I hope you are all ok.

Well, I'm about drooping in this chair so better hurry on back to bed. Check in, everyone, please!

Good morning......too early to get up since we did not get to bed till around 11:00 last night and I think we talked till almost midnight. Tom normally can't stay awake to talk that long, so I enjoyed listening to him. He talked about the guys in NC and SC that he talked to on his ham radio this week and the program similar to Excel that he was able to put back on his Dana, and how handy that was. Just "stuff" but since he talks so little, it's fun to hear him when he gets in one of these moods. Plus I get a longer back rub while he's talking.

I did take more benadryl when I got up which probably means I will sleep till 9:00 or so once that kicks in.

Big news......I finished the bees book!! Well, the big news is that I even finished a fiction book! Do I get to join the club now?? Can I get a gold star or something? Tom is proud. lol I'm pretty proud myself. I will definitely try this again. :bcb_smile I did enjoy that book a lot. I picked up Term Limits to start on it again when I realized it was well after 10:00 so we went on to bed. I will get going on it again. Tom is reading it too, in his Kindle, and he is already far ahead of me, so I told him to read something else so I wouldn't be that terribly far behind him. He has about 3 books going at the same time. He didn't mind.

Joan, I hope you feel better today. Sophie is a good girl being extra nice when her mommy isn't feeling well. The place where I got that bonus was an engineer's office and I was admin assistant and did whatever was needed. Front desk, prepare and fold plans, handle phone, mail, data entry, everything. He was a very generous employer (I almost said "boss" but he did not like that term).

Liz, I enjoyed so much reading about you getting to the lake and opening up the cabin, but especially the part about under 80*!! I just knew that somewhere in the world at the end of July it had to be less than 95% and 100% humidity! And I can almost smell the pine needles and hear all the birds. Please open the door to Michigan and push some of that cooler air down our way.

Sheila, I hope you find tenants for the townhouse soon. I could not handle renting something out.

LJ, just prayed for Isabel's surgery today. That's great that she can see colors now. My sister who is very nearly blind already can not tell colors well at all. Some of you remember she went thru around 6 eye surgeries a couple years ago but they didn't help much. It's all diabetic related. Hunting for black bears, huh? I'm not sure I'd call that bravery, lol. I would probably be glued to the ground if I ever saw one in person!

Carol, glad your "mouse problem" is solved. Saying that reminds me of Lily (in the book) finding the mouse bones under her cot, washing them and carrying them around for a long time. That part just very nearly grossed me out!

Jeanette, don't think I want to watch that movie if I will hate sushi! I love it (not the raw variety). I guess I would be safe watching it since I don't eat the raw variety, lol.

Carla, I don't think I've said this yet, but was so very happy to hear that your mom's dr. report gave her an all clear sign. That's what we are expecting to hear about your Tom before too long.

I can feel the benadryl working so will get back to bed soon.......

Noone else seems to be in here, so I guess it's safe to start us off!

I am doing well. I did a 15 minute exercise DVD last night, which does not sound like much, but it was with a swedish boxer and he kicked my butt! Did some yoga after. Tonight I'm jogging a short trail, and tomorrow a long one. Always trails, never treadmill!:bcb_bigsm

I spent 10 points on ice cream yesterday, and I am not letting myself think that I shouldn't have! I had the points, I made a choice to have the smallest available one, I very much enjoyed it, and that's it! No perfection here. A point is a point and it does not have morals! Kind of like me...:bcb_wink3:bcb_blush
Be strong!

hey all, haven't been on much...haven't exercised because of my foot (I can be back to regular shoes and exercise in 1 week, can't wait!) Weight has been coming off slooowly, but I haven't gained. I do have a question about Pluots..they are a cross between a plum and an apricot and they are so sweet-I have been counting them as 2 points, they are fairly big..but I read this morning that they are high in sugar..so is this something I should be limiting? Are they higher than 2 points? I figured since they are a fruit, it would be healthy for me, until I found out about the sugar. Any info would be great, thanks!
