Dear Buddies-Without going into alot of details we are asking all of you to keep our son David in your prayers. This past summer and into this fall has been a very tough time for him. He has made some very serious mistakes and he continues to have trouble making good choices for himself. So we are asking you to pray for him and while your at it would you slip one for the rest of the family? Thanks.

Your son, and your family, are in my prayers. It is so hard when things go awry with your children. As parents we want to "fix" everything and take on all their troubles and hurt. WHen i was a young parent, i thought that things would get easier as my children aged ... but wise people told me as my children got bigger, their problems would too.
The Serenity Prayer
God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference. Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him
Forever in the next.

Carole~ I, too, am praying for you and your son. I have a son who has also made some bad choices in the past. Thank God, he may be finally getting his life straight. There is hope, buddy. Hang in there.

Carole: I fully understand you and I am going to keep your family and your son in my prayers. I too have a David and boy they can be difficult sometimes. Just look at David from the bible. He did some bad things but his heart was according to God's because he always repented. Eventhough, we think they are drifting apart from God, they are not. I want to share with you my son said to me. " I feel like when I am drifting apart he pulls me back in, almost like if he extends the leach, but pulls me in just in time." He is faithful and will never let you go. It is easier said then done. Place him in the hands of the Lord and leave him there.
Victory shall be yours, fore you have trusted in the Almighty One.

Carole,
I too will be praying for your son and your family. I know how helpless a parent can feel, especially when we want to help our children.
God Bless you and yours

Carole, I can only imagine what you are going through. I will be in prayer for you and for your family. It may take time, but have faith that your prayers will guide him, your support and love for him will not go unoticed.

Carole-I have a David also. It is so difficult to put them in God's hands, but it is all you can do. Give it to God and you will be rewarded. He is much better equipped to take care of these things than we are. David, you and your entire family are in my prayers. My, Michael, is starting to turn his life around with God's guidance.
