Hi buddies,
To quick tell you I do WW point but belong to a weight loss group called T.O.P.S. anyway today I found out that one of our members was murdered. I don't have any details as she was found earlier today in her home. I just saw her Tuesday night at T.O.P.S. Please pray for her family and this must be an extremely difficult time for them. Please also pray for the police to figure out who could do this. She was a 70 year old woman who lived alone. I also ask for prayer for our group as a whole. I wasn't close with her but there are many woman who were. Please pray for our strength to stick with our programs in this time of great sadness. Thanks so much.

Hi buddies,
Thanks for the prayers. Hi everyone just to update those of you who are praying. The man is in custody and has been officially charged, there is a long line of run ins with the law with this man nothing as serious as murder before. But I am praying for him as well.
I know it sounded selfish to ask for prayer for my group when such a tragic thing had happened to my friend, but I know that she is in heaven now and is having a wonderful time and would not want us to be sad.
I also thought that my group would be thrown into upheavel and that this could cause major turmoil in our group some people feeling o.k. deal with it, and some people dwelling on what has happened. It turns out there was quite a bit of friction at our meeting, but not as bad as what I feared would happen. I really care about the women in my group and was afraid that this would be enough to throw them off their weight loss journey. I'm sorry if I offended anyone thinking I was being selfish. I was just saying what was in my heart, and God wants us to come with everything on our heart.
A bunch of our group went to her funeral service and it was beautiful. She had so many people there who cared about her. The church was packed. She devoted her life to God and nursing and at 70 was still working at the hospital. (Incidentally that's how they were able to catch the guy still at her house because of co-workers who knew something must be wrong if she didn't show up for work)

Kristen ~ you weren't selfish to ask for prayer for your group ~ I commend you to know she is OK...she is in heaven with her King ~ and yes, it's sad and a tragedy ~ but she is in heaven. The people left behind need prayer that a spirit of mourning would not rest on them, that they would be joyful that she is with her Father.
Will continue praying ~ and I have to tell you ~ what a blessing that you are praying for the man who did this...THAT is the right way to go, and you are very far in your walk with the Lord to be able to do that.
Blessings on you,
MrsD
