OK ladies, here's a new thread and another renewal in our committment. I know no one has gone over board here but I detected a few little slithers. Let's not get on that slippery slope of self defeat. OK?

We CAN do this.

We WILL do this.

We are LOSERS!

Two more days until weigh-in ladies. Has everyone been keeping track of their walking times? :walking: After Thursday's weigh-in I'm not sure when I'll get another chance to weigh myself since we'll be on the road and without access to scales. I will however, promise to keep walking, keep OP and start judging my progress by my clothing and the measuring tape.

I have to run out to the store form some milk and fruit but might stop in later to see what's going on.

Ok, I am a little better today.....I got a really bad migraine last night (had 'em since I was 3) I never quite get used to them...!?!

Anyway....thanks for all of your encouraging words guys---I really needed them.
I am NOT going to quit...not going to let my depression get the better of me. I was OP yesterday, I'm OP today, I'm doin' alright. Friday night was an Off P for me just a little , as I went out with my sister and her friends and had 2 drinks....but I had a few flex points to use...so I used them!

I measured myself today...here's what I came up with ( a little depressing:ugh: ):

L Arm- 14in.
R Arm- 13 1/2 in.
L Thigh- 25 1/2in.
R Thigh- 25 1/2in.
Waist- 41in. EEEK!
Bust- 34in.

??Question though----when you measure your waist...exactly where do you measure?? I measured where my belly button is...but I have a couple of rolls, and measuring where I did I kind of went in between my rolls, LOL!

Thanks again ladies!!
((((((HUGS!!!))))))

I will be measuring in every Monday.

I am afraid I don't have any good news to report on the walking front, or water drinking front.....urgh...I neeeeeeed to get with it!

Morning all, I am leaving a quicky because there is so much to do today. Have to get to Curves in a bit, then DH has a doc appt. then off to go grocery shopping...yuck! which I hate doing. Well, so far, so good. Been OP all week and tomorrow is WI. We will see what is happening.

We are going to be getting some storms here, so I don't expect to be back later, but wanted to say hi.

Kelly-glad you are better. Keep your chin up. Hugs!!!
Also, it doesn't really matter where you measure, as long as next time you measure in the same spot, so you can see results. At you belly button is pretty good, because then you will remember where you did it next time. I have large hips and a small waist, so I actually look like that hour glass, I measure where it goes in. Your results are great and you have nothing to be discouraged about.
I started in July last year, and didn't measure until the middle of Oct. Here is what I had:

L Arm- 16¼ in.
R Arm- 15 ½ in.
L Thigh- 25 ½ in.
R Thigh- 24 in.
Waist- 37 ¾ in.
Hips- 53 in.
Bust- 37 in.
so as you can see, I was alot larger than you when I started. I have come a long way since then, and you can too!

It occured to me after I posted this that it might be a good idea to show you where I am at now:
L Arm- 12 ¾in. Lost 3 ½
R Arm- 12 ½ in. Lost 3
L Thigh- 23 ½ in. Lost 2
R Thigh- 23 ¼ in. Lost ¾
Waist- 30 ¾ in. Lost 7
Hips- 42 in. Lost 11
Bust- 33 in. Lost 4

Total Lost: 31 ¼ inches since Oct. 15, 2004

And PS---if you want a slimmer waist line...get walking, that's where walking takes it off.

Donna, those are impressive results! And to see the actual numbers change (besides seeing how great you look), just drives home how successful you've been with WW. Most of my weight is on my butt and hips too, so I can't wait to start seeing those trim down. However, the only time I actually have a bust is when I've gained weight. Guess I need to take the bad with the good when I eventually get down to goal. lol

Donna, you mentioned in one of your previous post that you are currently looking for a new job. What type of work do you do? Full-time, part-time? How is the job market (in general) in your area?

Hi guys...just wanted to jump in and say hi real quick. Most of my household, including me, is sick, so we've all been taking it easy.

I wanted to share with you the BEST "milkshake" EVER!!!

In a blender add:

1c. skim milk
2 Tbsp. fat free cool whip
2 TBSP. ANY variety SF/FF instant pudding powder
1/4-1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
8 ice cubes

This makes a delicious shake that is really big for only 2 points!!!
This is only one serving, and if your husband/friends/siblings love it as much as mine do, you'll have to make more.
This has saved me more times than I can count....
ENJOY!

I'm in here quickly also. Just got home from rushing about doing errands.....far too many for a day but hey, what the heck, it's all exercise. I managed a hair appointment and a 40 minute walk in the midst of it all so I feel like I've had a very successful day. Tonight I get my reward. We are going to the Paul Anka concert. You younguns might not know who his is but during my teen years he was IT. Well him and Elvis.

Got to make a salad to go with the BQ'd filet mignon we are having tonight.

(He should be a wrinkled prune by now after his yrs of sun tanning. lol)

Hi all....

Well I just got done eating dinner,
I had a charbroiled chicken salad from Carls Jr. w/ fat free balsamic vinigrette. It was very yummy.
And I only had three fries!! Darn those stupid fries!
I made those one point brownies today--you know, the ones made with pureed black beans....lol, I was sooooo hesitant about making these, but honestly they are sooooooooo freakin good!! I just have a major problem stopping at just a 1 point brownie! I think I had 3 one point brownies today...ooooops! :D

I better send them off with hubby to work tomorrow. :ugh:

I wasn't technically "off program" today...but my day was a little off...it could have been way better---plus I'm sick, my kids are sick, and I DO NOT feel like exercising with a major migraine and a head cold! In the next couple days I will resume my walking :work_out: .....I am nervous about weigh in on Thursday....:sobbing:

What did you all have for dinner tonight??

Gee Kelly, you've had a day. A head cold is annoying enough, but coupled with a migraine,my sympathies go out to you. I started getting migraines about 10 yrs ago but fortunately I only get them once or twice a year. Hopefully you have some effective pain medication (Fiorinal? Imitrex?) that will help you get through the worst of it.

BTW, that milkshake sounds great. I'll give it a whirl this weekend. Now, about those 1 pt brownies....they're made with black beans? Sounds strange, but you said they were delicious. Could you post the recipe? I've been having one Tofutti Cutie (small tofu "ice cream" sandwich) every night after dinner and I'd rather not use less points for a dessert.

Morning all,

Yesterday was so hectic, and this morning I am almost bored...not much to do. Going to my WW meeting this afternoon, but til then...???

Patti- I don't actually have a career in mind. I was looking for something part time that would help us through the tough times now and carry us thru the holidays. We are really struggling living pay check to pay check. The job market here stinks. Unless I want to work at mcdonalds or have a PHD there really isn't anything available. I have put in some applications but only heard back from one place and went for an interview, but I guess they hired someone else cause I haven't heard since.

Kelly-Hope that migraine went away. You feel better. Thanks for posting the recipe and I too would like that brownie recipe if you could share.

Hatch-How was Paul Anka? My mother loved his singing. Sounds like your day was like mine yesterday. Busy! And you even managed a walk! Wow! Sounds like a great day.

Well, today is WI so send me some skinny vibes and hope you all have a great OP day!!! I will post back later with the results.

Donna....those are my skinny vibes to you today...give them back to me by tomorrow morning!!

Here is the recipe guys...and really I almost didn't make them cause they sounded so gross, but really, they are sooooooo good! My husband and kids never even knew the difference...here they are.......

1 15 ounce can black beans
19.5 ounce box brownie mix

You dump the whole can of beans into a blender/processor and just puree the heck out of them until you see NO chunks!

Then just mix it with the brownie mix, and if the batter is too stiff, add little bits of water until they aren't so stiff. NO eggs, NO oil! Then non-stick spray a 13x9in pan and dump the mix in there. Bake it for about 5 minutes less than it calls for on the box....cut into 1.5 in. squares they will be 1 point. AND if you start out with the low fat or fat free brownie mix, you'll only be saving yourself extra calories. They are SOOOOO good, my kids love them, and hubby too!

ENJOY!

Thank you guys for the skinny vibes...I think they worked. I am down 3.4 lbs this week. Really I think it's makeup from last week. My .2 should have been more like 2.2 but that's alright, it showed up this week.

Thanks for posting the recipe Kelly...your right, they do sound disgusting, but I am willing to try anything for chocolate around TOM time. This will be it next month.

Anyway, I decided that I am going back to the Wendie Plan because that is sort of what I did this week and even without the 2 lbs that I should have lost last week, I would have had a great loss this week. Those walks are really paying off. They have become an extra that I have been doing. Whatever I can fit in, nothing planned. Sometimes it's 15 min. after dinner and sometimes it's 1.5 hrs in the middle of the afternoon. Anyhow, I know I need to keep it up...hope I have the motivation once the weather gets bad and I have to use the treadmill. I just prefer walking outside is all.

Busy later, but I will post that skinny vibes for you guys in the morning...Have a great night! Hugs,

The brownies sound disgusting alright but if it's chocolate, I'm in. They shake recipe sounds good too. I keep forgetting to buy cool whip to make one but I will soon. A chocolate milkshake and a brownie..........now that's chocolate heaven. LOL

The Paul Anka concert was awesome. He is 64 years old now and looks no more than 50 and has the energy of a 20 year old. He is still very good looking and in fabulous shape. Not fabulous for a 64 or even 50, fabulous for even a 30 year old. This man is a little dynamo! (He's not tall) When the band began playing and all the lights and smoke exploded on stage everyone was eagerly waiting to she him appear through the smoke. All of a sudden he comes strolling down the isle from behind us, singing and shaking hands with everyone. He was out in the audience several times through out the show; singing, hugging, shaking hands and even a little kiss here and there. He has 5 grown daughters and after becoming a grandfather to another girl (that poor man! LOL) his daughter gave birth to a boy. All I can say is this little boy will be spoiled rotten by his "Poppa" He has written over 900 songs and continues to write and perform. Needless to say, I got more exercise last night!

Sounds like everyone is ready for tomorrow's weigh in and walking time results. I'm not even going to guess what the scale will be tomorrow as it's been all over the place this week. The only thing for sure is I did well walking. Guess we'll just have to wait until tomorrow for the results.

Hey Donna (or should I say "Your Skinnyness!")
Congrats on this week's weight loss. EXCELLENT! EXCELLENT! WOOOO HOOO! Had I known that skinny vibes worked so well, I'd have been a shakin' it from day 1!

By the way Donna, the job market here on Long Island is so bad, that even the Ph.D.'s are out of work. You are not alone in your search, believe me.

Peggy, you and I are fairly close in age....do you remember watching the "Banana Splits" on TV as a kid? I still have a 45 rpm record of theirs that I sent away for from a box of Frosted Flakes. The main song was entitled....
"Caliopa-saxaphia-trump-arimba-trombaphone." Do you remember that?

LOL And I teased Nuthatch for going to a Paul Anka concert?!

Trish

PS.. Good luck at WI everyone!

Well here it is. The day everyone has been waiting for. Or have you?

I walked for 5 hours but gained .4#'s I feel a bit smaller around the waist so something good must be happening.

Donna you go girl! Don't forget to record your official loss as of today.

I'll be checking back later to see how everyone else did.

Ok girls...here are those skinny vibes right back at you... Sorry I didn't get them here earlier. I had a really hard time getting started this morning and made my way to Curves to try and get my butt in gear...well, I am here now! Hope all goes well at WI.

Trish-don't flatter me so...I just work the program and have had enough...so now I am doing it with a vengence. I need to get to goal and stop paying for meetings. I won't give them up because I didn't get this far without my leader and I just have to attend. BTW, I remember the Banana Splits...I used to come home from school and watch...I loved that show...NaNaNa, NaNaNaNa, NaNaNa NaNaNaNa...hehehe

Hatch- All I can say is inches girl, inches??? You are doing great!!!

Where am I posting my WIs? Here OK? To date I did 3.4 this week and a total of 83.4 since 7/29/04

Ok and here is the link for the Wendie Plan for anyone who is interested:
